Heat + 1 1/2

Washington has played great of late, but that's due mostly to the play of one Brendan Haywood who has been a man among boys in most of these games. The addition of Lue, Davis, and Haywood off the il has made the difference. However, Miami has played really well in their last 4 games, and this is without question a trap game for washington. Coming off a road trip and the first back to back since jordan started complaining about his knees. The addition of Jim Jackson (who im shocked no one else picked up before the heat did)and the return of Zo to hes all star form along with grant and gatling getting into the flow has made this back into a much better team than there record reflects. Zo was not 100% the first time these teams met in miami, look for him to control haywood and that should be the difference. Young teams, even more so teams/players not use to winning lose these types of games after road success.

Seattle + 6 1/2

Im not a big fan of taking teams on back to backs after a big win, but in this case for whatever reason seattle owns the la teams. They sweeped all 8 games vs the la teams last year and including last night are now 5-0 over the last two years at staples. Clippers have all kinds of problems that theyve found ways to mask, mostly by brand taking over and quentin richardson hitting every 3 that leaves hes hand. The fact that the sonics are are a pretty slender team overall, and the fact that they played a lot of back to backs early this year should allow them to bounce back for tonight and at least keep it close if not win outright.

Suns -1

The suns have the thing that gives the kings the most problems, a pg that can dribble drive and create off penetration. If you saw the dallas game, bibby looked like he was nailed to the floor everytime nash made a move, and the suns have been a terrific home team all year. Plus, kings had to hop on a plane right after tonights game and we dont know if webber is in "basketball shape" to do the back to back thing this quickly with travel.

I had one play and see you have throughly covered it...so...I just chime in here with my take.

---------------------------------------------

You have to like the Heat tonight (despite giving up that 9 point 4th period lead last night against the Bucks).

I prefer Heat team (getting pts) against this "precieved" hot Wizard team. Just because they're on this..."quote"...3 game win streak you better analyze this streak just a little.

-Last Thursday they execute a "trifecta bucket" win over a DESPICABLE "Scud" Rocket team 85-82.

-Saturday the Wiz pull off a win over a quality Mavs team. But wait.......the Mavs were minus "Big" Dirk Nowitski 102-95. That takes the shine right off that one!

-Then, last night Wash dumps a horrible Memphis team 91-81 like they should. Nothing shocking about that victory.

-In fact....it's not going out on a limb to say....the only QUAILITY win the Wiz have had this season came agianst Boston on Nov. 24 88-84. Catching a Celt team during their only back-to-back losses and a 4 game skid.

-Outside of that, what has this team.....without any chemistry and a "side show" X-SuperStar.....accomplished? Yea, Hamilton's picked his game up (30 last night) but.....so what?

Mean while.......

-The Heat awoke to beat a good Bucks team last night and appear to be on the rise as the walking wounded return. Mourning, Jones, Strickland and Ellis each put in good minutes last night.....with double digit scoring.

-No, I don't like the fact they gave up the 9 point differential during the 4th last night...but...a win gets them psychologically ready to end this unimpressive Wiz 3 game streak tonight!

---------------------------------------------

Thanks for the space d.......I'm just a pyromaniac pouring "fuel on the fire" of someone on fire.

Stay on fire my friend.......I'm not calling 911 for ya!

GL tonight...as the Heat gets a little to hot for the Wiz. ez

dnuggets,

Thank you for the selections.

geeze.

PS: Would you still play the Heat at -1,
or would you pass?

Thanks.

Geeze, that would be a tough call, at a pick or - 1/2 id say take it for sure but theres two teams in the nba you need to always, ALWAYS be scared to lay even 1 pt with, ny knicks and miami heat. Good luck

I'm flop'n like a fish on a hook.

gsp was correct saying....PREMATURE....that word about sums the Heat up tonight!

-Premature shooting

-Premature passing

-Premature TECHNICAL FOULS

Mourning's definitely not back yet...2 point 2nd half?

Not complaining....just stating the obvious for future reference. And BTW......congrats tonight's Wiz players. ez

Well, they had them, they had them in every way you can have a team and not win the game, the killer part was knowing this line started at 3 1/2 yesterday and i didnt get on till 1 1/2 because i didnt see it. We had a ton of chances wiz only scored 4 pts in the final 6 minutes and 11 pts in the 4th quarter but that missed dunk by zo, those missed fts by zo and that ellis 3 that just missed to end the game...leads to a 1/2 pt loss...i made my cash back on the halftime at least.
