St. Louis (Kile) @ Cincinnati (Davis)
Taking the red hot Cards here against the worst home team in Major League baseball!
The Cards send Kile to the mound who has been rock solid of late with the Cardinals going 3-0 in his last 3 trips to the mound with him posting a very impressive 1.23 ERA in those starts, he is 13-7 on the year with a nice 2.75 ERA and really seems to like the air in Cincinnati as he has won his last 3 trips there including a shutout on the 27th of May this year. Davis has been okay this year posting a 5-2 record ERA of 5.10 but the Reds have lost his last 3 starts all at home, he has one start against the Cardinals winning in St. Louis back in June.
St. Louis is 13-14 as a road favorite but are 3-1 as a road fav. of -150 to -175, 66-53 on grass, 41-38 at night, 26-32 on the road and 12-13 vs. lefties but are hitting .323 against them in their last 10 games. Cincy is 10-23 as a home dog, they are 0-10 as a home dog of +150 to +200, 49-73 on grass, 19-45 at home, 34-50 after the sun goes down and are 40-59 against righties batting a paltry .240 as a team against them last 10 games.
The Reds bullpen has been pounded lately they have an 8.83 ERA in their last 3 games, the Cards are hot and looking for a post season berth, they are 9-1 in their last 10 games while the Reds are horrible at home and are without Boone and Larkin they are 1-9 in their last 10 games and the home plate umpire really favors the visiting team with them going 13-6 when he makes the calls. The Reds got lucky the other night and got pounded last night look for the Cardinal bats to stay hot and get the win!
