You have Ohio which is surging late in the season and you have Akron which has looked terrible in recent weeks. However, the Zips are very healthy for the first time since the beginning of the season. Akron was blown out last Friday, but a couple plays really killed them. They would have scored a TD before half, but fumbled the ball out of the end zone and then threw a pick 6 to start the 2nd half when they were driving.

Ohio was lucky to face Temple's backup QB and the Owls still made the game tough for 3 quarters. John Mackey is healthy for Akron and he will provide a huge lift for the defense. He's one of the few NFL prospects on defense in the MAC conference. When he was healthy, this Akron defense held Ohio State to just 20 points. I think they can slow down the Bobcats as well. Ohio is still a one dimensional running team that can't pass and should find running the ball difficult tonight.

Akron +3 for 8*
Akron ML +125 for 5*
Akron 1st half +1 (-105) for 6*

Akron 24 Ohio 17
