anyway. never remember an opening night of any sport where there has been so much guess work. New rules, long layoffs, impossible to really know what to expect.
books expect more scoring and they've already adjusted their lines for that. only one game below 5.5
my theory and i certainly don't claim it to be valid is be careful with road teams early in the season. nothing gets fans back in the seats more than winning. certainly not a conspiracy theory or saying games fixed in any way, but i'd be real surprised to see home teams struggle as a whole. hell, theres only 3 home dogs out of 15 for tonight so it seems like books adjusting to that as well.
2 games, both home teams starting off relatively small.
