i only have one total that i'm sure to play without ump info so i thought i would throw a couple of sides that i like tonight into the mix:
cws/kc over 9-: kc is 24-9 to the over at home against righties and that's the kind of number that i'll play on blindly. i will mention that my local gives out all totals at -110 and i have noticed that the juice at the offshores has gone up to around -130. if i had to pay that price i might give pause.
cincy -125: the reds are 21-9 as favorites this year and 8-0 as road favorites. dempster is due to give his new team something decent and anderson is headed for the pirate bullpen.
fla +165: i know maddux has owned the marlins but i gotta bite on this kind of price on aj burnett. burnett leads the nl in shutouts, is second in complete games, 3rd on strikeouts, 4th in innings pitched, 15th in era and tied for 18th in wins. not too shabby. this year burnett has gone 15 innings in two starts against the braves, allowing 6 hits and 0 runs. for all his recent success, maddux averages less than 6 innings a start for an obvious reason - by the 6 th inning his era shoots up to 4.63, by the 7th it's 6.23. all in all, the big dog price makes this one worthwhile.
good luck to all tonight.
