GOLDEN ST WARRIORS -1 OVER HOUSTON ROCKETS

I'm picking the Warriors based on scheduling advantages.

Even "Yellow Men Can't Jump" after the grueling schedule Yao and his Rockets are living right now. Tonight's game will be their fifth in seven nights, they spend Thanksgiving on the road tomorrow, and then face a nasty, losing Seattle squad Friday night. Last night they looked tired against Portland, and GS should be ready because.....

The Warriors haven't played since Friday. Four days off and those legs should be ready to blow by the Mobley-less Rockets. But will they be rusty? They might score 90, or they might score 130; either way they should cover a measly point.

Caveat: History shows the Rockets usually beating these guys.

DALLAS MAVERICKS -4 OVER DETROIT PISTONS

Uh, OK. I'll bite on this Too-Good-To-Be-True line.

Dallas has already beaten the Pistons by 39 this year. Detroit would like nothing better than to avenge that loss by being the team that stopped the Mavericks' win streak. Detroit would also like to stop urban decay, drive-by shootings, and layoffs at GM. It ain't gonna happen. And if it does, Mavericks basketball has been bery, bery good to me.

Nowitzki has been nursing a tender achilles for the last three off days. He isn't Grant Hill; he'll play.
