Florida (-13.5) over L'Ville
Florida played one of the toughest sched in college football. And finished with an 11-1 record. They also put together a strong defense against some tough competition. The Gators rank first nationally in pass defense efficiency, fifth in total defense and third in scoring defense, allowing an average of 12.9 points. Tonight they go against soph Bridgewater ranked eighth in the nation in pass efficiency 69%, throwing for 3,452 yards and 25 TDs. Tough player but even with the time off is he recovered. He ended the season with a bad wheel and broken wrist. That looks like fresh meat to a gator. Remember Florida played Manziel this season so they have defended this duel threat type QB. This just looks bad for lousiville on every front. I see lousiville give up 23 points per game while Florida gives up 12. Those stats are tainted. That 12 points against the SEC compared to 23 big east points. Florida has found it's offensive stride with Driscoll and the running game. That's big because Louisville has given up big days to running teams. Considering Louisville is playing the us against the world card they will come out fired up but this looks on paper like the FSU game against N.Ill. I'm just not buying the cards have the talent to make plays offensively. I also don't think Bridgewater is healthy enough to be that threat to out play the Florida defense.
Florida runs, gator defense holds Louisville offense, Florida wins turn over battle and Louisville struggles to get big plays to keep them in this game. Again this is if both teams come to play but considering how Florida has played to get here I don't think they want to give former defensive co Strong an opportunity to take it from them.
