Ok, here is the spin on this one in a nutshell.....
The Zips may feature the poorest point guard play in the nation. The two of them can't score, can't drive and kick. All not lost however, they can hit the boxscore with turnovers though. Show me a team that can win on the road without solid guard play.
The Zips have a pair of 6'7" spot up wings that simply lack any kind of consistency with their shot.
The Zips lack mental toughness. When things don't go their way they tend to sulk and won't fight back.
The Zips have chemistry issues. There is a clash of personalities on this team that has a detrimental effect to the end product.
This Zip team is at a crossroad. They can circle the wagons and fight back but to this point they have not had that desire. I think that they are much more likely to implode than rally.
The Zips 6' 11" center tends to vanish when matched up against anybody that can match his size.
EMU is one of the few teams that can matchup with the Zips size. If the Zips get out boarded their chances are very small. EMU is long and have some athletes which they have lacked in the past.
EMU plays a tough zone that Murphy brought with him from 'Cuse. The Zips have not demonstrated the ability to shoot over a zone.
That's basically it. Love EMU tonight. First half play is a must as well.
