Week 1 Play..........

I did not post my plays this week since I only had 1 play that mattered and I let it determine my season. It was USC -288 ML over Arkansas. (which was not posted) I went all or nothing meaning if I lost I was prepared tp call it a season. I risked 30 units on USC and as expected, USC won 50-14. I said last year that USC would be undervalued this season and no way USC should have been -288 ML. I was expecting -500. I am now regretting not taking USC 12-1 (pinny) to win the BCS NC. Oh well. Maybe if USC is under -300 against Nebraska, I'll repeat the same bet and call it a year if I lose.

Only thing that matters is my win/loss record on posted plays. So lets get the season started with a big win. My plays range from 1-10 units with 3 units being my average and 10 units being very rare.

Florida St. +5 -122 over Miami. I bought it to +5 at Pinny and it only cost me -122 juice. Although I am confident FSU will win SU. Was tempted to put 3 units spread and 2 units ML. 5 units +5 IMO was the best best.

I already got down on 2 plays for next week. 4 units Clemson -1 over BC. BC QB Ryan is out. Lined opened at +1 and is currently -2.5. Still strong play at -2.5. I also put 1 unit on the over 53.5 Idaho/Washington St. Looking to put big wager on UTEP over TT but have not pulled the trigger yet.

I?ll start with Weatherford vs Wright matchup @QB. Both are talented but I think Weatherford has an advantage in this game. Both QB?s had poor OL?s last year but FSU had injuries @ that position and should be much improved this season. This will allow FSU to have a stronger running game which will make everything easier for Weatherford who was only a freshman last year. Wright unfortunately only returns 1 starting lineman from an OL that wasn?t productive at all last year. Gave up over 30 sacks last year. In addition, Miami has a new offensive coaching staff and Wright must adjust to new system. Tough to do. Lastly, everyone knows about Miami suspending their starting RB and starting WR. (Moss+Moore) Now Wright has an inexperienced OL blocking for him, and he loses his #1 option at WR and #1 RB. Huge depth issues at WR and RB.

Meanwhile, Weatherford builds off his experience from last year AND returns his OL + his key playmakers. Only playmaker Wright has is TE Olson. I def. expect the Miami WR?s to drop some passes and the Miami OL to miss blocks and commit silly opening day penalties.

I am confident that FSU DC Andrews will come up with gameplan to expose these weaknesses in the Miami offense. It wasn?t like the Miami offense was anything special last year. Only threat Andrews must key on is Miami TE Olson.

Reports out of FSU say FSU should be better in all phases of the game. They have couple question marks on DL and LB but talent is there.

The only potential clinker in this play is the weather tonight.

I am gambling Miami doesn't win by 6. Otherwise I lose both and practically give back my USC winnings. :scared If they win by 7 I lose my original wager and push 2h wager. I can live with that.

#1 reason I am attempting to buy my bet back is FSU cannot run the ball. I felt FSU could and they can't. Puts too much pressure on weatherford. FSU D is playing strong and got some bad breaks but I am going with Miami in 2h.

Scott - Congrats on your USC win. Boy did they look awesome. In some ways, they looked better than last year's edition except for Bush. Their D will be terrific this year. And Booty looks really good - he throws some really tight spirals and showed me an arm. Although still early, USC could go all the way.
