Ok, we have agreed long enuff...Time to disagree with ya bud. :0074 ..Gb caught Houston and Chicago on the right night??? Chicago was just week two and Houston undefeated AT home on Sunday night....GB beat both and convincingly at Houston because they are a very solid team...Defense is a lil inconsistent but they destroyed Houston and that awesome running game....Yeah Matthews and Woodsen are out but they don't play offense....Pack are playing well lately overall and they love playing in domes last few years...Kinda same scenario as last year when they had Detroit and the Giants on road...hey went into Detroit and kick the snot out of them....Should be a good game so we'll see but to say GB is not that good ?? Well let's say i think they are....GL on your play
I guess by right night is that Chicago's pass blocking was a mess at the time and Mike Tice was obviously way behind with his offensive play calling as Cutler was getting killed and he was calling plays where all the receivers were running 20 yard pass plays.
As for Houston that was one hell of a game and if Rogers is that good again the Pack will win. Plus Houston coming from behind was a dismal performance., I couldn't believe on Houston's first two possessions, they run the ball once..
Now last year did cross my mind and it is another reason why I like Detroit in this game. They are going to be a hungry team, The Pack were a much better team last year. Jennings was there and Finley was at least reputable. ( I picked him up of waivers in a fantasy league this week) Add in the Fact they have no Woodson and no Matthews. I'm projecting Stafford to have time and the Packers have nobody to match Megatron. I know Detroits secondary has been lit up a couple times but they have also played better as a defensive unit.
One thing I will say that always involves a Packer team is Rogers and if Detroit does not get pressure they will get shredded. I see Bulaga is out for the season, not that he was special anyways.. If the Packer's were close to 100 % I would say no to Detroit and realize that Green Bay will be good but I project them to struggle with Detroit, G Men, Chico, and one of the Viking games.
Now a huge negative for Detroit can be there pass protection, Green Bay's pressure relies solely on the blitz and when you bitz, you can get burned but at the same time it can create turnovers as well.
I will say that I do not like Detroit's coach, Schwartz, this guy thinks very highly of himself and they blew it last week, They kept trying to run it with Leshoure, I know the Vikes havent been stopping the run of late but Detroit's O liine was no match for the Vikes front and Leshoure is not the speed back, he fit the Vikings style. They waited until too late to really throw it up there. If they try to pound LeShoure and not spread the Pack out they lose. I don't understand why teams doen't spread them out. I would never run against them unless you have a guy like let's say AP.. :toast:
And I can't wish the Pack good luck at all.
