Long time MJer, but havn't posted this year. I thought I'd share my biggest play of the year early since these lines will probably be going up.

Minnesota Vikings @ Detroit Lions -1

With three weeks left in the regular season, the playoff picture is starting to come into focus for the Detroit Lions.

If they win their final three games, the Lions (9-4) will win the NFC North and be assured of a first-round bye.

If they go 11-5, they're guaranteed a wild-card spot, as long as the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys don't tie Sunday night.

As an 11-win wild-card team, the Lions would be the No. 6 seed if they finish with the same record as the second-place team in the NFC West, or the No. 5 seed if the West runner-up crumbles and they're tied only with the second-place team in the NFC East.

At 10 wins, the Lions could be in danger of missing the playoffs, which is why it's important that they don't slip up in winnable games the next two weeks at home against the Minnesota Vikings and at the Chicago Bears.

Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots -1

In terms of playoff positioning, sunday's results around the AFC could not have gone much better for the New England Patriots.

New England?s two rivals for the AFC East crown, the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills, both suffered close defeats sunday at the hands of the Ravens and the Broncos, respectively. The loss dropped both teams to 7-6, and basically locked up a sixth straight AFC East division title for the Patriots with a win in any of their final three remaining games (home vs. Miami, on the road against the Jets, home vs. Buffalo).

Due to the Bengals? loss to the Steelers, the Patriots? path to a first round bye is also pretty simple. If the Patriots win two of their next three games, they are guaranteed a first round bye due to the tiebreaker they own with the Colts. Of course, the real prize that the Patriots want is that first seed. Buffalo played Denver close and completely shut down Peyton Manning. Nonetheless, their loss moved the Broncos to 10-3. The Patriots own the tiebreaker with Denver, but barring a surprise Broncos loss, will need to win out to clinch the #1 seed.

So you are telling me both teams are going into week 15 needing wins and playing against inferior divisional teams at home? Sign me up! and let's cash this ticket! :0008:popcorn2
