Okay guys...thanks for the help in Week 1!!! Another bender here for me......Benson vs Bears at home OR Shawn Greene vs. Steelers on the road???? I personally think Pitt's D steps up at home after the pitiful performance vs Denver, but then again I know Greene is going to get MANY carries!!!!

I think Packers bounce back big after their Week 1 loss and the whole team does well....Benson may get a TD or 2 and will find many more holes to run through now that the 49ers are gone.

Thoughts?????

I don't like either one to be honest with you but I would definitely go with Greene and here is why.

GB is not designed to run the ball. If they didn't have to out of necessity they never would. The Jets beat a vastly overrated Buffalo team that is not designed to do anything other than be a perennial punching bag I guess.

The Steelers defense played a better game than they will against the Jets. The Jets don't have the skill that the Broncos do but they do have the better O-line of the two teams. The Jets will run the ball and the Steelers will do little to stop them as they will be geared more to protecting against the pass. If you noticed the Steelers got beat when they went to a Zone blitzing scheme and started running the BIG HAIRED DUDE up to the line. Every time they put more than 7 in the tackle box they gave up a big play. They have always had a healthy disrespect for the Jets running game and none of that will change. They will force the Jets to run the ball or if they do put the ball in the air, Sanchez will be looking at a lot of zone coverages in the nickel.

As far as Benson goes, I would not start him ever if I could avoid it. Just because he had big games in Cincy doesn't mean he was good. He got damn near 35 carries a game and baby stepped his way to decent yardage. In GB he will get 15 carries a game and baby step his way to last place in your league if you are relying on him. My suggestion would be to trade him the second you can get some value for him. Wouldn't you rather have say BJGE than Benson. Hope for a big game from him on your bench so you can trade him.

Seriously Hudson. I truly believe starting Benson is a mistake. I would absolutely go with Greene.

Also, the days of the Steel Curtain are over. They will have a defense that hovers in the bottom third of the league all year. Mark my words, they are old, slow and ineffective at defending big wide receivers. The safeties and corners are past their prime or just not good. I like the Steelers too but I have eyes as well.

Hope this helps,
FDC

Didn't go with Benson.....he had a solid game though.

FatDaddy......would you consider Donald Brown over Greene???? Greene just makes me nervous this week. Pitt has a great rush D...it's the pass D that screws them every week. They gave up 3.4 yards a carry to Denver. Vikings game up 4.2 yards vs Jags. I have feeling Pitt is going to bottle up Greene and he'll end up with a mediocre game. Donald Brown on the other hand could be a nice sleeper this week. Before Colts gave up on the run last week he averaged 4.2 yards a carry vs Bears! He also got a TD! I just feel the Colts having a solid day all around and winning their opener. Brown will be a big part of that.

Thoughts????

Yes I would consider Brown the better play. Benson did have a decent game but I do like Brown at home. I think the Colts are the better offensive team and he doesn't come out at the goal line. He will be targeted in the passing game more than Greene as well. Pitt loves to run zone run blitzes that Shonn Greene systematically has problems with. He has all the speed but none of the field vision when he gets pressured early. Greene tries to push everything outside and just outrun everyone. Yea I think you go with your gut on this one and my gut would tell me Brown.

Good luck brother.
