Season Stats: 2-0 (+2.00 units)
Hit a pair of games last week including Arkansas State, who covered by 31 points!!!
1. COLORADO STATE (+14) over California (2 units)
I see a letdown here for Cal. The Bears struggled on the road last season. They were 2-3 away from home in 2006 and are 3-5 in their last 8 away from Berkeley.
CSU is eager to return to the field after their heartbreaking OT loss to Colorado. The Rams' Caleb Hanie was 20-for-27 with 229 yards and 3 TD's.
2. UCLA (-7) over Byu (2 units)
#13 UCLA was impressive on offense in their opener. The Bruins racked up 624 yards at Stanford including 338 on the ground. QB Ben Olsen threw for 286 yards and 5 TDs. 20 starters are back for UCLA this season.
The Bruins have won 12 of their last 13 at home.
3. OKLAHOMA STATE (-23) over Florida Atlantic (1 unit)
Last season, the Pokes beat FAU 48-8. The confines will be much better for OSU this week as it will be the home opener in Stillwater instead of 92,000 in Athens, GA.
4. WESTERN MICHIGAN (-1) over Indiana (1 unit)
Western Michigan is one of the MAC preseason favorites. Jamarko Simmons will be the biggest concern for the Hoosiers. He's 6'2" and 234 pounds. He caught 14 balls for 144 yards and 2 TDs against West Virginia last week.
5. 10-point, 3-team TEASER:
OKLAHOMA (-1/2) over Miami Florida
TENNESSEE (-1/2) over Southern Mississippi
TEXAS (+1) over Tcu
(3 units to win 2.31 units)
All facets of the Oklahoma offense are clicking. QB Bradford completed his first 18 passes in his first career start.
The Volunteers will look to bounce back from a tough loss and win their 13th straight home opener. Tennessee's offense did gain 382 yards against Cal.
TCU defensive end standout Tommy Blake is questionable with an illness. Mack Brown will get the goal-line offense back to work after getting stuffed against Arkansas State.
