More tough news for Syracuse. Starting H-back Ervin Phillips is out Saturday against Wake Forest with a lower body injury. Phillips had two touchdowns last week against Rhode Island and was expected to be counted on heavily this season. Couple that with starting QB Terrel Hunt's injury, and the Orange will be without their top two offensive players vs. the Deacs.

Another brutal day. I havent been able to watch more than 5 hours of football combined the first 2 weeks and it shows in my capping, I just dont have a handle on it like I have in years past. Between fulltime work and coaching my 3 kids in their sports.....my head isn't in it. So tread lightly with my plays unlike past years.

Probably should have posted this first for your usual followers.Kids come first and good luck to them and you in coaching.I wasn't trying to be an asshole with my first sentence,but I'm sure there are some that really value your thoughts/plays but had they known your circumstances this year might not have followed.Good luck in the future.I'm sure your like me and feel like you can have success no matter what,however it does take some time to really follow and be successful.Sure you will either commit to solid plays or just hold off posting.We want your solid plays,GL bud!!!!It's still early
Appreciate the kind words and I didnt take anything the wrong way! I was hoping to slowly get into it after the first week.....but then again today I just couldnt get time to watch the games how I normally do. Just being honest.....like you said, I want to post solid plays rather than half ass it. Sorry if you lost a bit of $$$. I will post plays that I feel strongly about like 3 Units and more.....which is why I said the first 2 weeks still treading lightly....all the best and I do intend on getting in here to post when I feel strongly on certain games. Like you said, kids first man....they are my life. My wife wouldnt have it any other way, but as they get a bit older and competitive sports take more of my time.....its a tough balance. I love CFB so much.....more than any sport....it sucks I cant put the time in that I would like too. Thanks!

I remember my first year of my kids playing flag my daughter was 7 and son 4,my daughters coach said oh shit I have a girl on my team.To his surprise she was one of the best for him,played QB after how he seen she could throw(not right away) and safety.Was very surprised how well she anticipated stuff and her speed.Only reason I know that he was surprised and that he wasn't to enthused with having a girl on his team was his wife talked to mine.By the end of the year she was on the field second to none.The following year the lead team some how found a way to get her on theirs,long story short is they are only that young and you already have certain coaches trying to stack their team,I ended up getting them out of that league for that simple fact.There was good coaches but some that had friends higher up and stacked teams unfairly,at that age you want a competitive field so they can all have fun and enjoy it.
Kids ruin everything. . . . lol
Small sample size. Don't change a thing. Just keep firing.
