Season: 11-7 (62%)

Nice finish to last week going 3-0 on Sunday. Starting off week 2 with these Labor Day plays.

Over 57 Fresno St/Rutgers L

The Bulldogs scored at least 30 points nine times last season and bring back 17 starters. All the top offensive prospects return and unfortunetly their defense didn't get much better. As good as the Scarlet Knights are on defense, I still think State has enough power to make some noise. Think we will see more balls through the air for Rutgers with the loss of Rice and return of Teel and his pair of 1,000 yard recievers.

Tennessee-6 (-130) L
Bought one here, but don't think I'll really need it. Only thing I hate is being on the same side as the public. Again going with the new coach fade here. Think UCLA will become a major power soon, but might have some growing pains this season.

Good luck everyone...

This is technically still week 1 as the new polls haven't come out yet. Thank you for your time.

Thanks for pointing that out. I use Monday's for the start of the new week in College and Tuesday's for the NFL.

adding for Labor Day...

Under 46.5 Tenn/UCLA (-130) L

Look.... I'll be real suprised if UCLA can score 17 points in this one. They're having to plug and move around players at almost every position. Like this for the same reason I like the Vols.

Season: 13-10 (57%)

Thursday

Vandy +11 (-130) W
Under 41.5 W

ONLY reason to play this game is the sandwich factor. The Gamecocks have Georgia on deck and will have a role reversal this evening under the lights on the road on National Television. We all saw how good South Carolina is this year on defense and quite honesty, I was suprised to see the offensive explosion out of Vandy last week. Think this plays out closer than most think and I wouldn't count on Smelly to explode again on the road in a hostile environment.

Good luck...

15-10 (60%)

On alittle mini run here (4-0) hope to keep it going....

Kent +7.5 (-130) L

Giving them another chance this week. BC looked better than I expected and getting a td even on the road is fine with me against a team that won just 3 games last season. Top to bottom, Kent has more talent and if they can get through the 1st quarter ok,they will be in this one to the wire.

Temple +7.5 (-130) W

Yeah, I know....No way the cover 2 straight. But hold the phone. 22 returning starters, 10 of those Seniors and the entire offensive line. I heard on Sports Nation last week that only 2 teams in Div 1 Football have more offensive snaps with their current line than the Owls. Call me crazy, but I truly think this is a team on the rise.

Under 41.5 Florida Int/Iowa L

Actually going to the Stadium for this one. The Golden Panthers actually held their own at Kansas during the first half. With 6 of the 7 defensive line starters comming back going up against a weak Hawkeye offense (don't let last week fool you) , and the very solid Iowa "d", this one could be a real snooze fest. Think the Hawkeyes get it done 27-7.

Middle Tenn State +13 (-120) W

Very young team here comming off their first Bowl game ever last year. Night game at home against a (in my opinion) weak Maryland club. Hell, they only beat Delaware by a td last week. Think the home crowd gives the Blue Radiers the edge they need to keep this one close.

Marshall + 21.5 (-130) L
Don't know about you, but was very unimpressed with the Bagders last week. Yeah, they got a great offensive line with a guy that can run it down your throat, but what's up with the passing game? The fact the Thundering Herd bring back the entire starting seconday makes this a no brianer play for me. Wisky will have to rely on the ground attack alone once again and with 2 quality defenses, this one should stay within the number....

Taking a hard look at tonights matchup between Navy and Ball State. Might have a play closer to kickoff.

Good Luck My Peeps!

Weather should be great tomorrow for the Iowa game, Mully. We will be there bright and early in our usual tailgating spot, tossing back some cold adult beverages and grilling some beef before heading over to Kinnick to watch the bloodletting...:00hour

About the KU/Fla Int game last week....it was 30-10 at half only because of a 74 yard punt return for a TD by the Golden Panthers...Iowa needs to continue to work on its offense and with both QBs going to get lots of reps, I see Iowa hanging 40+ points on the board here. If Iowa's defensive line plays better than they did last week against Maine, you might see a shutout, but a late garbage TD or two sends this one over the total, IMO.
Where are your seats for the game tomorrow?

they pretty much suck. Section 131. I'm told close to the corner of the endzone and near the press box? Got them from a rep of mine.Taking the wife. She's a big Hawkeye fan. Our house is divided. My son and I are Illinois fans. She's already trying to convert our 8 month old to the dark side...:mj07:

adding.....

Penn State -15.5 W

Oregon State is a BAD road team. The whole damn Nitney Lions could be on the Mary Jane come tomorrow and still win by 21!

W.Virginia -6.5 (-130) L

Scares me a bit as I hate to be on the side of the public (see above as well). Just find it hard to believe that the emotion from last week will carry over without any let down for ECU. Very tough to go back to back against top 25 teams.

Washington +10 (-130) W

I know...Stupid right? Just have to think Tye will get his boys ready for the season opener. Could be his last year if things don't turn around. The boosters know they have no shot next week vs the Sooners and with UCLA on deck for BYU, my gut tells me the Huskies keep this one close.

Those seats aren't bad at all---near the press box tells me your near the top of the stadium--which means you will have no problem seeing the South end of the field. I thought you'd say you were low in the end zone. My 13 month old already lifts her hands up and dances when I say GO HAWKS!...:D

Off to bed; 5 AM wake up call, out the door by 6, cold beer in my hand no later than 7:15.....:00hour

adding a couple totals for this evening...

Under 52.5 Miami/Florida (-130) W

Under 48.5 C.Florida/S.Florida (-130) L

That Iowa total makes me sick....See it went up to at least 44 at just about every book. Watching Florida Int in person, I can tell you....FADE THEM EVERY WEEK .

Season: 20-15 (58%)
