I like UNC tonight, but its tough to back a team with a large wager that has not won a game outside the state of North Carolina since 2002.

UNC +6 *

Good Luck Cappers!!!!

Same here, although the new line is Baylor -1 but OTB.

I have multiple outlets, so I will have to see what line I get on Baylor. Anything under -3 still makes me feel comfortable. Big regret not playing UNC bi tonight, I had this game capped as a UNC win by 15.

you still playing bj ?

i think i will pass on the game..

If I can get it at -1 (my book still has it "listed" at BU -1 but still OTB) I might play it small, pretty much for action purposes. But after having a shot a +2.5 and missing it, and having to rely on Baylor.... it'd be nothing more than a small action play.

Yeah, I feel you. I played it as a 1/10 unit play for TV action, and I really liked it more than that. Now I am forced to hammer my alma mater on Saturday night based on how bad Rutgers looked.

I see you like ur Badgers this weekend, but are you worried about the QB for Wisky having a shaky game and making the Badgers one dimensional?

AR,

Not to doubt that the vastly larger offensive line could be a factor, but Ohio State always has massive lines and the quicker SEC teams completely decimated their lines in the championship games. I think Wisky is the better team, but I have yet to pick a side or a total in this one. How about you or someone talk me out of these sides:

ND over Mich, I know the Irish suck, but I have watched Michigan play twice this year and their offense is pathetic. Irish have the experienced QB in this game and are at home.

OSU over USC, I am thinking that Wells is going to play, as quite a few locals here are spectulating that Tressel is playing a cat and muse game with Pete. OSU has perhaps the best overall defense in the country going up a rather inexperienced offense. I think Boeckman is a below average QB, but I expect Tressel to roll out a form of the spread offense with Pryor during the game to cause USC to have matchup problems.

Akron over Ball State, The Zips, Reno, and Navy qualify as the "rushing dogs" plays for this week. Interesting tidbit is that Akron has not failed to cover a spread of 4 points or more since 2004, and no MAC dog of 4 points or more failed to cover last season.

right now i slightly lean to wisc...but too many cappers that i respect are on fresno...so don't know if i will play it..

i agree with you that wells will play...that line is out of whack if you ask me..but no play yet....

i am leaning to akron...just watching to see which way the line moves...

i have no opinion about reno...& lean to navy but there 2ndary is really bad...so don't know yet...

for the past few minutes i have been focusing on san jose st because i am impressed that he out stated neb which impresses me...& sdst has some injuries on the def. line....do you have an opinion on that game ?

In my opinion, one of the nets best cappers has a Game of the Month on San Jose, as he pretty much falls into line with what you are saying abut outstating Nebraska. From the write up that I have read the QB as SJose is a top level recruit whom could of went to many of the larger programs. I usually stay off the lower west coast games since I do not follow the programs that much, but it was a game that I had circled to look at furhter.

MC,

I was about to hit the USF/KS UNDER for a decent size play when I saw you have the over. You are not normally a totals guy, do you have a strong feeling on this one, thanks.

For full disclosure, at the opening of camp, I said that if someone told me that UW lost only one game all season, I would have guessed it was Fresno and not OSU or PSU (esp. since both of those are home night games). So this may just end up being blind loyalty and me talking myself into thinking my alma mater will win.

But to answer your question, not really. The slow start last week against Marshall may end up being a blessing b/c they stacked the box and forced us to throw (yeah, I referred to them as "us"... the school got enough of my money in the last decade that I feel I've earned it!). Evridge looked very solid in the latter three quarters, and that was without our best receiver (Beckum) who will be back tomorrow night. As AR pointed out, we do have a nice size/power edge on the O-line. They only way they can stop the running game IMO is if they stack the line like Marshall did. In which case the game will be on Evridge's shoulders. Two weeks ago, I would have been terrified at the prospect, but after last week I feel much more confident in Evridge's ability, esp. with Beckum returning.
