YTD 6-12 -9.05 Units

My record says it all. But I am going to get back to posting on Sunday nights for the week, starting discussion on some games and posting my thoughts. I have been late posting each week to start the season, not myself at all and I put alot of time and energy into looking at the card tonight. Still lots of info to dig deeper into though.

Friday night play -
UNM +27.5 for 3 Units
Call me crazy, huge road dog......but ASU D is in shambles.....they lost alot from last year and have struggled big time. ASU had to pull out their game late against Cal Poly.....tied at 21 after 3 quarters, no joke. I actually watched a fair bit of it last night. Not impressed with the play calling either, young OL too. ASU has 2 top 10 teams on deck in USC and UCLA. Sure UNM is nothing to write home about, but this ASU team isn't blowing anyone out this year, totally different team from last year.

Clemson -5 at Louisville in primetime on Thursday night......help me out with this one. Tigers have played nobody in Wofford and App St. plus they are going into their bye week with ND on deck. They lost their top WR in the first game of the year for a few weeks. UL has played Auburn and Houston, quality opponents and far more battle tested. I don't see Petrino starting the year 0-3 with the Cards......tough road test for the Tigers.....for me its take the points or pass on this one. Oh and I am a Clemson alum, really looking at this one objectively....

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this game. The more the better!:0074

When was the last time a Spurrier team was a 17pt. dog? Lean to SC over UGA.

WF -3.5 over Army......they are that bad Army.....strong lean to WF.

Purdue is a tough one......VT starting a freshman QB....-5.5 on the road.....my numbers show VT at -9.....dig deeper.

ISU +7....they fell apart very late against Iowa.....2 TD in the last few minutes by Iowa.....Toledo emotional letdown spot too....strong lean to ISU +7.

Cal - 7 on the road.....Heard is a far better QB than Swoopes for Texas.....TD fav on the road.....not sold on this one.

Florida is favoured in this game by name alone.....if anyone has watched UK or checked out how they have recruited in a short time under Stoops.....then you would see why I feel the wrong team is favoured here. UK had a nice road win at SC....while UF struggled a bit with ECU. New coach and system for UF......it always takes time to adjust. UK football program will be jacked for this home tilt.....signature win for HC Stoops.....nice spot....continue to build momentum for the program. Give me UK!

Oh the Rebels can play with the Tide here.....the strong recruiting classes that Freeze has assembled are starting to pay off.....Rebels can play with anyone in the trenches and this is how this game will be settled. Beyond tempted to take the Rebs on the ML too! Far too many points in this one.

I hope your right about UK CG; I almost played them but thought I'd watch the line a little bit. The Gators have had Kentucky's number for a good while now, like 28 or 29 straight...the Cats are definitely due, I sure hope they can pull it off.

I want to hammer GT -2......my numbers have ND -5.......I see the public pounding GT tonight.....scares me......over reaction to the QB injury in Zaire.....just not sure now. My head says GT.....make Kizer a passing QB.....load the box.....take away the run.....but my heart says ND in this one as I want to see this freshman kid do well.....I know a few people who know him well and this kid is a lion of a leader. Thoughts anyone?

I hear ya buddy.....but this game reminds me of Vandy pulling out the win 2 years ago over UGA.....they got the Dawgs at home and it had been forever since they beat UGA.......personally see this one playing out the same way.....as they say......the stars aligning.....these type of streaks cant go on forever......even Navy finally beat ND after 41 or 42 straight losses.

Ball St. back on the road after getting physically thrown down......it was 49-3 for A&M and then they called the dogs off....I have this game at a pick'em.....I will gladly take a TD at home in this spot!

UNLV +34 for 3 Units
Far too many points for a Michigan team struggling to score in bunches.

Just really like the Cyclones in this spot. Toledo overvalued after big road win, emotional letdown and as I said earlier in the thread.........Iowa scored 2 TD's in the last 2 minutes to win by 14 over ISU.

I had a few people PM me on Twitter.....about the UNM play.

The one thing that stands out to me when it comes to this game is the fact that UNM runs a triple option offense, similar to that of Cal Poly......who gave ASU fits. 4 TD's is far too much when a team can run the ball down the Devils throats like Cal Poly piling up almost 300 yards on the ground.

I like the UL play. Concern is the turnovers by Lou, the QB play has been crap and sub par defense. Clemson has played some stiffs and this will be their first road game. Could be another QB switch for Petrino and Clemson has little time to prepare.

Really hoping this UL team plays like its their bowl game.....their season is on the line in only Week 3 of the season. Starting will make it very difficult to make a bowl game.....they arent playing in the American Athletic Conf. anymore!:shrug:

I want to pound this game but that little voice in my head keeps saying, home dog....ND wants prove all the doubters wrong. Irish have now lost their starting RB, QB and oh yes.....their TE too now! I don't trust the Irish D, I see GT trying to make Kizer one dimensional as he isnt nearly as good a runner as Zaire. But Irish have the receivers to play that short passing game in Robinson, Hunter, Carlisle, Brown....list goes on and on. But the way GT has played the first 2 games of the year its hard to pass up less than FG chalk.

Line keeps climbing, public all over SU here. I dont trust them at over TD fav, plus SU has #13 LSU on deck coming to town! Huge look ahead spot!
