I don't get this line. Bears for me this week.

The QB situation is not a big deal imo. I look at Miller and Chandler as interchangable. Both are injury-prone. Miller started the season b/c he was the incumbent. But I don't think there's any talent dropoff w/ Chandler. Very capable QB.

Saints' run ends this wk imho.

It matters not if Miller or Chandler is in there. The Bears defense, headed by Urlacher and nicely complemented by Brown will give New Orlean's offense all sorts of troubles. They have way too much speed and I can see N.O. mustering only 10 points worth of offense on Sunday.

I must admit one thing though. In the Atlanta game I seen Urlacher jump over his man and run up in Vicks face and throw him down. Now that takes a damn athlete as Vick might suck right now but he is fast as a greased pig.

Thanks everyone, that must be why it went of the board for a while.

Pesrsonally, I am still taking NO.

My gut tells me Chicago will stuggle at home in the long run this year because of the temporary high school stadium. They already won thier first home game, which surprised me. Don't see them winning two in a row at home, I don't see them winning anymore all year at home actually. If I don't follow my instints on this, I won't cash in on it. If the Bears win this game I will get off this home field disadvantage gut feeling and realize I was wrong.

Good Luck!

please tell me you're saying that only as a joke, and you don't really believe it's a high school stadium they are playing in, since it's bigger than Soldier.

I wasn't actually kidding.

But, if it's not a high school football field then I apologize for the incorrect information.

I got this information when watching the Bears first Pre-Season game.

But, even before they said it was a high school football field, I noticed that it looked terrible.

Then, they said it and I realized why it looked so bad.

They did say it was a high school stadium. But even if it's not, it sure didn't look like a "Professional Stadium".

Imediately I was thinking that because of this downer, the Bears would have trouble at home, but the visitors would thrive on it.

So, again, if it's not a high school stadium, then I apologize for the bad info.

However, even if it's not, I still think the looks of the Stadium is a "downer" and will play a big part of the Bears season.

I like New Orleans this week. Not only because of the Bears stadium, but also because New Orleans beat the BUCS on the road and GB last week at home with athority.

Good Luck!

You must be an idiot!

The Bears play in a high-school stadium?

Because of this, they wont win another game at hime this year?

Want to wager on that??????

Detriot must be licking thier chops at your comment seeing thier visit to Champaign could be one of their 2 wins this year.

Get real, Memorial Stadium is the home of the University of Illinois and holds 65-70k, more than Soldier Field.

A lot of season tix holders and other fans from Chicago (140 miles away) will be making the trip all year. Win 2 at home comes this Sunday! Lay the 1-2 with the team getting no respect yet winning.

bears have a good D.. but i think the injuries on D will hurt them a bit this week...NO shouldnt have trouble stopping A Thomas who has been sub par thus far. and if miller is out?

kind of like NO in this spot:)

Thanks for the kind words gjn23!

You didn't have to use FOUL lanuage dude.

It's because of people like you, that people stop posting thier toughts to try and give thier particualr angle on a game. And after all, isn't that why we are all here? To hear what others are thinking.

I'll let it pass this time, but don't let it happen again. Cool?

Now on to your other "more reasonable" comments:

I agree, I went a little over board saying that the Bears could possibly lose the rest of thier home games. It's probably not likely, and I don't truly think I really believe that. I was just trying to show my opinion of the way the "football field and stands" looked to me as I watched one of thier homes game on TV.

I can still picture what I was seeing and I still think it's going to be a disadvantage to them.

As far as your Wager request... I think i'll pass. Chances are they will win a home game. But if you want to make a side bet on this weeks game, that could be arranged.

Bears will probably beat the Lions as you hinted.

I'll have to take your word for it that it's bigger than Soldier Field, because I don't feel like trying to look it up and plus Bahama Mama already pointed that out in his/her post.

But, I don't know if that means anything to me. Like I said, when I watched that game on TV, the filed looked terrible. And I know it was only Pre-season but they lost 27-3 and well it just seemed that by the look on thier faces they were embarrased with the way it looked. No disrespect to the Stadium, as I know nothing about it. Not a College Fan.

And one last thing.... Are you a Bears Fan, as in your "favorite team"?

I mean like, do you live there?

If so, that might be why the post got you so upset.

Dude, it was just an observation that I noticed and thought the information might be of some use to the forum.

Bottom line.... there is no reason to use words like "idiot". Instead, you could have just said something like.... "It's cool to have your opinion of the playing field, but I don't think the change in Stadiums this year will affect the Bears" and then you could have gone on to say what you said about the Stadium. Which is a very good point.

Have a good day.

Since I don't know you, you may or may not be an idiot. However my post was more intended toward your statements, which were idiotic. Sorry if I offended you.

I am a Bears fan but that really has nothing to do with my post. I just call a spade a spade. The Bears could and probably will lose a game due to:

Lack of talent
Losing to a better team
Injuries
Travel all year for home games

but I really don't think that the Bears will lose games in Champaign because of the way the stadium looks or is configured.

As for your wager, I'll pass. I'll probably end up taking the Bears (why buck a trend on a team that has shown the ability to win close games over the past 18). However I do have the Saints to win the Super Bowl at 30-1 (bet back in April) so I'll be rooting for them to stay healthy and then begin winning games again next week.

What a come back by New Orleans. Down like 20 or something. Didnt see the game but I have to assume that Chris Chandler played alot. He never could hold a lead. He would do just enough to get by.

NO will stumble. Now we got to figure out when.

Chandler was in the game, sort of. He lined up at QB for a 2 pt attempt and the Bears tried to draw NO offsides then they ended up kicking the extra point.

I bet NO and left disgusted to go to the track with the Bears ahead 20-0 as the Saints were completely self-destructing. By the time I got there it was 20-14. Realistically, the Bears had one of these coming. I wouldn't be shocked to see a little letdown when they go to Buffalo next week.
