Notre Dame +2 for 5 Units
Irish defense is far superior than that of the Tigers defense. Huge edge here for me. Irish have far too many weapons on offense.....their OL is so experienced as well, much like their defense. I know the Irish will have to weather the storm with the homecrowd and all but I am not being sucked in again by my alma mater like last year when FSU took them to the woodshed. I think being off for 16 days will also the Tigers. They have played nobody so far! Irish are battle tested both at home and on the road.

UCLA -13 for 4 Units
ASU is an absolute mess on both sides of the ball. HC Graham thought their defense was going to be strong for them.....but so far, Cal Poly, UNM, USC and A&M have ran/passed on this team at will! Throw in the fact that losing both tackles has made QB Bercovicci's job a disaster....and it all adds up to a miserable season for ASU. The Devils havent been able to make any adjustments at the tackle position. Sure UCLA is off an emotional win but they are back home against a team they need to beat in their division. Love the Bruins here!

Texas +18 for 3 Units
TCU has no D yet again......sure Texas has blown the last 2 games on mental errors....via the kicking game but since the QB change from Swoopes to Heard....the Longhorns finally have an identity on the offensive side of the ball. The Horns D looked much better last week and seems to be improving weekly. After the blowout at ND, the 5 freshman starting on D have really started to learn the system. Far too many points here.

NC St. -5 for 3 Units
Can Louisville possibly start the year 0-4? Yes......the Wolfpack are for real and HC Doeren really has his team playing out of their minds in all 3 facets of the game! It took him time after leaving NIU but he is starting to get the athletes to play his system. They have been dominant while UL doesnt know who should be their starting QB. When you have 2 QB's it means you dont have one! Enough said.

Now at 2.5 for Clemson.....line keeps moving......ughhh......ND wins outright but getting more points....would have been nice!

Texas is at TCU, I know that's what you meant. It's a lot of pts but TCU might put up a bunch on the dummy longhorns. Tex pissed me off with that push against okie st, they are mentally weak and seem to enjoy the yellow flag. Texas should be able to cover the number against TCU defense, GL

CG, Texas is a mess. They can't stop anyone and they're a poorly coached team. I think TCU scores at least 50 on the Horns. TCU team total over is the best bet on this game, IMO. Good luck :0074

CG, sorry to hijack your thread but Longhorn what's the word down in Austin? Is Strong safe or at least one more year or is there a lot of talk about him being out? I would think with the AD being booted it might make things less secure for Strong.

Wood,

Mike Perrin, who is the new AD for at least one year, has said that Charlie Strong's job is safe. He's a former UT letterman, who played under Coach Royal. He "gets it", and he's well liked in UT circles. I think Strong gets at least three years, which is fair, IMO. The thing that concerns me is recruiting. It is a lot easier to recruit when you're winning. Texas had a really good recruiting class last year and a lot of those freshman are seeing PT this year. They need at least as good of a class if not better this year to put coach Strong's players on the field.

Believe it or not, the future of the QB situation looks very promising. In addition to Heard, Texas has two stud QB's who are committed. One for this year's incoming class and one for the 2017 class. This is going to be a rough year for the Horns, and in reality they're a better team than last year's team, but they'll most likely have a worse record. Texas has to build this thing the right way, one brick at a time. It's not going to happen real quick.

I agree about three being fair. I keep wondering why there isn't any talent at the junior and senior level. They had some highly rated recruiting classes for those years and little to show for it now.

I always think a good sign of where a program is going is to look at their recruiting. While he might do ok in the Big12 with his classes, he's not going to go far. I've also been told that he's not popular with Texas high school football coaches. We all know the coaches have a very big impact on where their players go. Texas can be average with what they're looking at in recruiting but not on the level they're accustomed to. I hate UT but I like UT to be good because I think it helps the conference.

Hey buddy, thanks for jumping in. I always welcome opinions on both sides. I look at this game in a few ways. Definitely a letdown spot for TCU, plus the way Texas has been looked upon, perception is they are terrible. I look at the way the Texas D has played lately and the fact the Horns have a different identity at QB with Heard that they are progressing which is what I like! GL!

All good, no worries my friend! I love the chatter.....I have ties to a few Big 12 teams so the back and forth football chat is terrific! GL

Just too many points for a young team to cover on the road! Public loving Michigan right now, number is inflated......cant back Wolverines in this spot.
