A&M gave up 236 yards rushing to Auburn and 371 yards passing to Arkansas. Tennessee worse is 181 rushing to Ga and 296 passing to Fla (most in the first half).

I'm like you, Vols can't afford to pussyfoot around anymore with Texas A&M and Alabama next up, maybe last half of schedule, but not now. I do have Vols going against an average rushing defense of 115ypg and Aggies going against rushing defense of 173ypg (not counting Prairie View game for A&M); so maybe that will help.

I'm thinking they step it up a notch against top quality competition, somewhat like they did against Va Tech. I will say Georgia surprised me, and that freshman QB performed a lot better than I thought. I don't know the players like you but think Maybin? and that top notch DB that's been out have hurt them some. I'm still mad at that DB that, on the next to last play of the game, lined up only 5 yds away from the Georgia receiver, turned around to look at line of scrimmage after running about 30yds with receiver, and then got beat for that touchdown pass.

Yea Hurd, Sutton, and Kirkland expected to miss will be a difficult uphill battle but the backups have stepped up! Hoping for another week of team ball!!!!
