FAU +4 over Troy

I like taking home dogs in these spotlight games.

The Owls are 11-4 ATS in their 15 Sun Belt Conference Games.

And, most importantly, I am kind of putting my money where my mouth is on this game. In the preseason, I fiigured FAU to be the top team in the Sun Belt and I had these consectuive Tuesday night league games circled as games to look into and make a play for the Owls. They snared defeat from the arms of victory last week at MTSU, but still covered the number as a short dog. I still think this team wins the league and their rebound will start tonight. Or, at least cover the +4.

In reading up on the Sun Belt over the summer, I could not really make heads or tails about the riff raff in the league. But, I liked the Owls and was eager for this Tuesday night stretch of games on their schedule. They got the cash lets week, so I am letting it ride tonight.

It is actually a big game tonight. Should Troy win, they would need a total second half collapse not to win the league and get the only bid, to the NOLA Bowl. If FAU, wins, they will be back in the driver's seat and will get that bid should they win ought in league play.

If you're playing tonight, good luck!! :toast:

I like the play, Toledo. How ugly was your trip on Saturday? I was up in Ann Arbor the week before for the Wisconsin game and it was pretty fun, but this had to be ugly. I would like to think we roll this week against Toledo Tom and the Crew, but I just don't know if we can even score enough to cover the 16.5.

Bummer about the Owls last night.

Carl, yeah, it was ugly......thought the offense, at times, loooked its best all season....but all those defensive breakdowns were constant daggers going in and out of my heart.

On one hand, Illinois did a lot of damage against Penn St with those big plays, but Michigan does not have the offensive know how to keep up in those situations.

I might be crazy, but I was encouraged by the offense.....its too bad that Threet does not have the typical UM wideout right now to bail him out the way Navarre had Terrell and Henne had Braylon during their respective first years as a starter. At times, Threet needed Savoy, Clemons and even Babb to come up with a play and they lacked the saviness to do that.....even with all the inexperience, those three weren't expected to be all that key this year, but with Hemingway, Stonum and Butler either hurt or unofficially suspended, thats the reality of the day.

I would not trust this team to cover any number, let alone a big number.....just want to see them win, even if it comes at the expense of my hometown.
