For real though, that one was on herbert. He could have walked in the TD for a tie game before the tipped int. He missed Ekeler on 3rd and then someone up to the time he threw up the middle on 3rd late.
He walks in that TD, they probably win outright and they are SB contenders again.

yeah, i'd say the fact that herbert is considered one of the top qbs in the league says more about the overall state of qb play than anything else. the talent is there, but he makes mistakes that he shouldn't be making in his 4th year.
the coaching staff, especially staley, has killed that team the last few years. they have had the talent on both sides of the ball to get a hell of a lot closer to a super bowl than they have. hell, just the number of chances they've had to beat the chiefs is ridiculous. but they blow it every time.
