Week 9 Lines

Some very strange lines to study, to say the least. The games I am looking at. No wagers made as of yet. These lines courtesy of Circa Sportsbook:

Texas @ TCU -2 1/2. I understand that Texas stuck the stadium up against Kansas last night, but the fact remains that their two losses have come against undefeated teams. Meanwhile, TCU has lost 3 out of their last 4 games. They are also 1-13 as a HF after losing two games in a row. It's tough to pick from two disappointing teams.

Utah State @ Air Force. Both of these teams can score. Utah State was held to 6 points at LSU, but has averaged 38 ppg. in their other 5 games. Air Force is averaging 37.4 ppg in all 7 of their games. Neither defense is known to be stingy, to say the least. Right now we are looking at a Total line of 57 1/2. It may be time to get on this now.

Penn State -6 1/2 at Michigan State. Penn State's defense fell asleep against Michigan, but they still managed a 7 point win at home. Franklin and company know that they cannot afford to let a game slip away from them if they want to entertain playoff hopes. Michigan State is coming off a much needed week off after two humiliating lossas on the road where they were outscored 69-10 by Ohio State and Wisconsin. they have scored just 17 points in their three losses. The defense has given up an even 100 points in the past three games. Hmmmmmmmm.

Week 9 Wagers

Week 9 Wagers

Missed Week 8. 9-10 overall.

San Jose State +10 @ Army. (Wynn) Look ahead game for Army, who goes to Air Force next week. Armyhas been a disappointment since the Michigan game, going 2-3 S/U, 1-3 ATS in lined games. They are a poor HF, going 3-8 ATS in the past 2+ years. Their scoring is way down, going 1-5 UNDER the total number. San Jose State is not much better, going 3-4, 2-4 ATS, but does have a win at Arkansas. I think Army sleepwalks their way to a win here, but does not cover.

Utah State +4 1/2 @ Air Force (Westgate) Utah State is one of the best teams in the nation that goes totally overlooked. They are 4-2 S/u and ATS. Their two losses have been at Wake Forest and at LSU. Two teams with a combined record of 13-1. They are 4-2 ATS in their last 6 away games as a dog. Tey have a good defense and can score. Air Force is 5-, but 3-3 ATS. Their defense has not been real good, allowing over 27 per game in their last 6 games. Their offense runs hot and cold. The same look ahead situation as Army is in.

Penn State -6 @ Michigan State (Circa). The absolute worst thing that could have happened to MSU happened last week. Penn State was cruising to a win against Michigan, and then the defense fell asleep and Michigan made a game out of it (sort of). Michigan State has scored 10 points in their last two games. Penn State's defense is giving up an average of 10 ppg. The Lion may not score a lot of points, but they probably will not need a lot to cover this spread.

More to follow, but I will say upfront that I am not exactly thrilled with this weeks games.
