Season Stats: 28-22-1 (+11.30 units)

1. ARIZONA STATE (-3) over California (1 unit)

ASU just had a bye week to lick the wounds, get healthy and put together the game plan. This weekend is big for the Sun Devils to validate their season. They are ranked #4 in the BCS, but many say that "they haven't played anyone!". A win here makes Arizona State a national title contender.

The best offense vs. the best defense in the PAC-10 should be a fun match to watch. I see the Ducks being at the top of this one. USC is still questionable even after beating Notre Dame. They lost to Stanford, almost lost to Washington, and squeaked by Arizona. And Arizona is worse than Stanford. The Ducks are always going to score a lot of points. The question is if USC can score a lot too. I see the Oregon defense stepping it up a bit this week, especially with Autzen on its side.

Liking the home chalk this week bigtime!

3. TEXAS TECH (-13-1/2) over Colorado (5 units)

Colorado has won just once on the road in 3 tries this season. The Red Raiders will be back in the friendly confines of Jones AT&T Stadium, where they are 4-0 this season and have a 6-game win streak. Cody Hawkins has 13 TD's this season, but 14 INT's. Texas Tech ranks first in total yards (557.8 ypg) and passing (487.5 ypg). They average 45 points per game.

TT has a big advantage playing this game at home and it should be able to rebound behind its passing attack, which can put points up in a hurry.

4. MISSOURI (-28-1/2) over Iowa State (1 unit)

Missouri ranks 10th in the nation in scoring (40.1). Iowa State owns one of the country's weakest offenses (15.1). The Cyclones haven't had a run longer than 24 yards this season.

5. VANDERBILT (-13-1/2) over Miami Ohio (4 units)

Vandy has covered 4 of its last 5 and slapped around MAC representative Eastern Michigan in Vanderbilt a month ago.

6. TEXAS (-20-1/2) over Nebraska (5 units)

Things could hardly be worse at Nebraska. The Cornhuskers have lost 3 straight, yielding 41 ppg. The rebuilding defense can't stop the run and, therefore, is vulnerable to the pass. Bill Callahan has Tom Osborne looking over his shoulder. Look for Colt McCoy to rebound from last week and for no mercy for discouraged NU.

7. TENNESSEE (-2-1/2) over South Carolina (2 units)

Tennessee won this game last year 31-24 in Columbia and has won 13 of the last 14 meetings.

8. HAWAII (-29-1/2) over New Mexico State (4 units)

Hawaii has emerged from the first half of the season with BCS hopes and dreams of an unbeaten season intact. Bye week was just what doctor ordered for Colt Brennan to shake nagging ankle woes. That's bad news for NMSU. UH is 9-4 last 13 in Aloha Stadium laying double digits.
