balt/jax
too many unknowns. this is for the birds.

miami/buff
cold weather puts those 5 points in jeopardy. pass and leaning to the under.

pitt/tenn
no offense pitt will take anything that falls in their lap, and it will. bonus 2 points for pitt.

s.f./indy
they look very close on paper. there are many questions on both sides. slight tilt toward s.f.

seattle/k.c.
now that the "sandwich" game is over and that they were able to pull the win in buffalo, kc should be a cake walk, well, almost. leaning under as well.

wash/philly
is wash really rodney dangerfield in disguise? i don't care, give me any points, but if you would like to spot me 7 or 8, that is fine. also leaning under on this one,.

atlanta/carol
have to look further, but the little computer in my feeble brain says atlanta and under.

cinci/clev
i loved clev last week, but not this week giving 6 points.

n.o./n.e.

brady passed the test after blowing one in denver. add another notch this week for him, for free or even with a 1 point kicker. leaning under here as well.

ariz/s.d

ariz not as good as last week, and san diego not as bad as the last few. back in the comfort of home, they better clear one td against ariz. also looking under.

oak/giants
giants are showing wide gaps, both physically and psychological. oak not the best road warrior, but should be able to squeak by in this game.

chi/minny

too close to call, really. looks good for a teaser with your favorite team. the over looks like a possibility.

tampa/stlouis

avoiding tampa games, including this one. will watch and enjoy, though.

ahh, the short and sweet...

buff/miami-hard for me to pass up buff getting points at home in late nov. against any team in the afc east, no matter how bad buff may be (i must be nuts). miami was embarrassed at home last week i don't think they can bounce back so soon, i'm not sold on fiedler. i had some positive things to say about him in the beginning of the year, but he hasn't looked good.

pitt/tenn-like pitt, think they control both sides of the line, don't tink tenn will score more than 10 or 14 on pitt's defense. can pitt score on tenn?? i think they're good for at least 20.

s.f./indy-crap i can't bet on this game, slight lean to s.f., too much pressure on manning, think he makes some mistakes. there is always the mora factor, he's a joke.

atl/carolina-like atlanta here giving 3, any more and i'd be hesitant. think they'll play well off the elation of last week's upset over gb.

cinc/cleve-like cleve, they don't make mistakes, and take advantage of them. kitna blows and will throw 2 or 3 picks at the rowdy dog pound.

balt/jax-pass, don't know how anyone could play this game, who knows what will happen. probably the most unlikely, jax wins 38-3. sharpe has a panic attack on the field and is rushed to the hospital, billick realizes what an arrogant dik he is.

oak/ny-fossel's little rant in the post-game press conference was funny, i'm sure most of you saw it. similar to last year's crap. collin's sux he can throw if the o-line gives him 10 secs to throw but under pressure he has been making mistakes. can't imagine him being able to pass with much success against the raider secondary. unfortanely i watch alot of giants games, their play selection is laughable, they haven't been utilizing barber like they should. the difference in this game is if the giants secondary can keep up with the quick slants of the raider short passing game. i think if it is rainy and windy it will actually favor the raiders with the kind of offense they run and gannon's accuracy.

ariz/sd-flutie is back home, at 8 i would lean towards ariz, but at 7 i would pass. will see how flutie responds to his poor performances.

good luck this week pepin.

you can pretty much gather from the comments that i have a strong preference for wash, n.e. and pitt. casper added some thoughts.
there are other 'cappers with other angles and other teams. you should get more than enough from this board and the nfl match-up to help you make a decision.

casper

normally, i would take miami in this situation, but you gave enough reasons to either pick buff or put enough doubt on the miami selection. it may be that between buff starting to get it together, the weather, and fiedler's questionable play, the pendulum will swing to buff. because there are too many questions for me, i would rather look elsewhere.

on cincy/clev, i don't have a good angle on this one either way. i sense clev needs turnovers to clear a td or so. can cinci score enough on their own to offset any possible mistakes? again, questions that i can't get a grip on.

good to see another man's opinion, although it looks like we agree more than not.
