Between Green Bay and Iowa City
NCAA YTD: 6-3 (+3.20*)

A weekend road trip means both computer access and channel surfing (except on the radio dial) will be iffy propositions. I've done OK in the past getting wagers down early, but it's far from my normal routine . . . The strongest opinions and convictions this week are on my NFL card.

Oregon State(+7') over Boise State (1*)
I like a gritty OSU team in this spot off the "what could have been" loss that transpired better than any other scenario that comes to mind. Boise wants a Pac 10 scalp; OSU knows taking a scalp on the blue carpet is a 60 minute mountain. The 2004 edition of Boise in going away fashion seems a tall order.

Penn State(-2) over Boston College (1*)
I think I have the better team (let's say 52% sure) with the better motivation (maybe 65% sure) and the matchups seem reasonably well suited.

Clemson(-7) over Georgia Tech (1*)
I think the overtime win finds a strong team stronger heading into this contest.

The next 3 scare me for one obvious reason, but that's the way I've capped them:

Wake Forest(-14)(-105) over East Carolina (1*)
Texas(-11)(-105) over Arkansas (1*)
Utah(-13)(-108) over Arizona (1*)

Under consideration: Notre Dame; Toledo; Alabama; OrSt/Boise Un; Florida Atlantic; Syracuse; and Fresno State.
