Hopefully, I'll get around some more and post my plays for whatever they might be worth:
Bama +12.5 ---- 4-0 ATS as a double digit dog and 12-3 ATS as road dog the last 7 years. Sooners only covered 2 of last 10 at home. I love playing dd dogs against a weak offensive team (so OK seems).
Purdue +6.5 ----- Return 17 starters from a team that pounded Notre Dame last year, though they still managed to loose the game (22 1st downs to 10 and almost over 200 more yards of offense). Maryland not to impressive, so last week's ND win doesn't impress and inflates the line. Notre Dame has owned Purdue at home, but I like the Boilers playing in this revenge spot.
Florida -2.5 ----- Yes, it scares me playing aginst a team with a 23 game winning streak that is getting points, but this isn't the same Miami team. An inexperienced back 4 on defense has Grossman and Jacobs licking their chops. Ken Dorsey who has not been touched in who nows how long will be under constant pressure from John Thompson's Gator D with Miami playing 4 newcomers on the offensive front. Gators by double digits.
Texas Tech -18 ----- Saw a very interesting system play on this one - Play against a home dog of more than 3 that was favored by more than 6 the prior week and lost and has a losing record.
46-15 ATS (75%). SMU was favored by dd over Navy last week and got spanked. Texas Tech is also a whopping 22-3 ATS off a loss since 1995. Kingsbury will have a field day in their home opener as they bounce back from their beating by an excellent team.
Good Luck to All....
War Damn Eagle....
Alligator, Alligator, crocodile piss.....if shit were a school it would be Ole Miss. --Give 'em hell Memphis Tigers
