Great to see a big weekend for the forum on the AFL and NRL
After a couple of tough weekends, we struck back in a convincing manner to prove that there is no substitute for hard work and sound 'capping.
This forum continues to be a great place to hang out, learn and win as we help each other out
On a personal note, very happy with the NRL rd 16. Particular highlights were backing a small dog to get home away to the Broncos (the numbers didn't lie) and getting two Unders in a weekend where four other games saw the total points tally reach 74, 64, 62 and 54. The two losses came from a poor performance from the Warriors - gee, now there's a shock
- and the Panthers, who matched the Eagles try-for-try but couldn't make their kicks. The 'pain' of missing this one was eased a little by knowing it meant Eric and Beastie got a win - gotta share the wealth
I think the split AFL round helped my NRL capping. Only saw two AFL games worth capping and pulled the trigger on just one fairly early, which left me with more time to run over and over the NRL games - another sign that specialising is the way to go. To that extent, would have loved to have run the ruler over some of the international rugby matches but time-wise it was never going to be a job done well, so let it lie - maybe this weekend.
Weekend record:
NRL: 5-2 (71.43%)
AFL: 1-0
Overall: 6-2 (75.00%)
Season to date:
NRL: 36-25 (59.02%)
AFL: 20-18 (52.63%)
SUPER 12 (completed): 27-13 (67.50%)
Overall: 83-56 (59.71%)
Cheers team
