A little write-up from a hockey website:
The San Jose Sharks try to defeat the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for the seventh straight time on Wednesday when the clubs square off at the San Jose Arena.

San Jose has outscored Anaheim, 27-12, in winning the last six meetings. The last five of those games have come since the Mighty Ducks traded star right wing Teemu Selanne the Sharks for center Jeff Friesen and goaltender Steve Shields.

Since acquiring Selanne prior to last season's trade deadline, San Jose has gone 23-12-7-5 while Anaheim owns an 18-25-7-3 mark.

Selanne scored a hat track in a 7-4 victory in his first game against Anaheim on March 29 and has one goal and three assists in three wins vs. his former team this season.

Sharks goaltender Evgeni Nabokov is 5-1-0 lifetime against the Ducks, stopping 88 of 94 shots in three wins against them this season.

The Sharks moved to 9-1-2 in their last 12 games with a 1-1 tie against the Nashville Predators on Sunday. Nabokov made 28 saves and Owen Nolan scored a shorthanded goal for San Jose, which owns a four-point lead over Dallas for first place in the Pacific Division.

San Jose is unbeaten in four straight (3-0-1) at home, where it is 8-1-2-2.

Anaheim is last in the Pacific but has shown signs of improvement. It is 5-3-1-3 while holding its last 12 foes to three goals or less.

other worthy notez:

1) The Boston Bruins attempt to win consecutive games at the FleetCenter for the first time in nearly a month when they face the Ottawa Senators for the second time this season. YET, However, the first four games were without left wing Sergei Samsonov, who missed six games with a knee injury. The Bruins have won two straight since he returned, posting a 5-0 shutout of the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday and Saturday's 4-2 road victory over the New York Islanders.
Boston has lost its last four meetings with the Senators since a home win on November 9, 2000.

2) The Sabres and Canadiens split two meetings in October with the road team winning games that featured violent incidents. In Buffalo's 3-1 win on October 20, right wing J.P. Dumont collided with Habs goaltender Jeff Hackett. Hackett, who was 3-0-0, at the time suffered a dislocated left shoulder and did not return until two weeks ago.Six days later in Montreal's 5-2 victory, Doug Gilmour was involved in a clipping incident with Buffalo right wing Vaclav Varada. The incident occurred shortly after Varada's knee hit goaltender Jose Theodore in the head and caused a concussion.

3) Philly is 10-0-1-0 vs S-E DIV????
AND (14-3-2-1) VS THE EAST???? DAMN!!!
WASH is (1-5-2-0) vs Atlantic
This season has been a different story as the Flyers have outscored the Capitals, 14-3, in winning the first three meetings.
maybe revenge time for washington??
The Capitals are 4-0-2 in their last six home games and 10-4-3 at the MCI Center on the season.

Personally, i like the tie.

4) Patrick Roy attempts to become the first goaltender to record 500 victories when the first-place Colorado Avalanche face the Dallas Stars for the first time this season.
Led by Roy's dominant play, the Avalanche have gone 11-1-3 in their last 15 games.
(WOW, who was betting on colorado in THOSE games..???)

5) The Lightning have won their last two games here and are 2-2-1 all time against the Predators.
WATCH OUT FOR TAMPA...NASVILLE HAS TO LOSE AT HOME SOMETIME....and TB plays well vs the western conference....go figure.

6) Calgary is 0-2-1 in its last three games and is 3-6-3 in December
Last season Edmonton captured both meetings here and has swept the season series on home ice in four of the last five seasons.

7) Phoenix is third in the Pacific Division, one point ahead of the Kings, who are 3-0-1 in their last four games vs. the Coyotes.

I like the Thrasher/Panther under tonight. Since Keenan took over in FLA the Panthers GAA is 2.25...Also, they are averaging 2.25 goals for. With the short layoff and Keenan's defensive style, under 6 looks good tonight.
