Welllll even though Iam from Ohio and everybody I know is an Ohio St fan and most people I know bet OSU ML only tells me to fade them. But its more then that of course
A few reasons why...
1) Expereince. Nothing is more soothing then knowing what to expect. Coker and Dorsey and all his players have been down this road before...they know all about the media frenzy...they know how to play under the lights in front of millions and millions of viewers...they know..HOW TO WIN
2) Talent. Yea Yea I know Ohio St is Top 5 every year in recruiting...but really, Miami has the better talent. People are making a big deal about Maurice Clariett.....shittttt...Miami has like 5 Clarietts on their team. They lose Edgrin James...come with Clinton Portis...they lose Portis...they come with Willis Mcgahee...when they lose Mcgahee...in will come Tyrone Moss. And people make a big deal about how Dorsey wins because of his OLine and all this stuff...well so be it...I`d rather have Dorsey being my QB then Krenzel!!! Krenzel is a good QB...very smart....but he`s no Dorsey....And the WRs...Mike Jenkins??? Kevin Gamble??? Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Miami loses WRs year in and year out to the draft and they do nothing but reload. Andre Johnson and Ethenic Sands.....PLUS Mcgahee is one of the best best backs to catch the ball out of the backfield. And what about Kellen Winslow...they lose Shockey to the NFL and they reload with this guy who could possibly be better
On offense Miami is better - no doubt.
3) NFL. Thats right....NFL. This just isnt a a game for a National Title. These schools get their 12 million dollars from the BCS win or lose...so who cares about that...This IS A TRY-OUT! The Miami players know they fawked around with Rutgers....Va Tech...and all these other games...but this is the one game that the NFL scouts will be watching. Dorsey, Mcgahee, Andre....you should know they are gonna put 110% out there because they want to be 1st round picks like every other Hurricane. This isnt gonna be another Rutgers and Va Tech and whatever other close game they had. I think when people cap this game...they take that Rutgers and Va Tech game to much...ohh well Rutgers was winning in the 4th quarter andddd Va Tech scored tons on them...yada yada yada....yeaaaa whatever, if your basing your capping on that...go for it. But this is more like a PRE-NFL Combine...a tryout...they will lay it all on the line....cuz these brothas want the $$$$$
Now I know Ive talked up Miami like they are the Gods team...but I know Ohio St is good. Iam actaully a fan of Mike Doss...he`s a GOOD ASS PLAYER. I saw him place twice when he was at Canton McKinley(they played Toledo St Francis) and we were all in AWE! Great player...I admire him....great guy too. But he wont be able to stop Miami's O single handed. I honestly dont think Matt Wilhem is a good LB..I think his back-up (Mike D'Andrea from Avon Lake) is gonna be the next Urlacher. Wilhem wont be able to cover any of the WRs....and we all know Miami is gonna love that match-up cuz the WRs is gonna burn them. OSU D has been great all season...they shut down Kingsbury...Gesser...Navarre...and Larry Johnson (cough*not Josh Cribbs*cough) soooo cant underestimate that D...but Iam sure Miami is well aware of that D cuz thats the only thing they talk about...they talk about OSU D and Maurice Clareitt. Even more the reason to take Miami lol. I allready grabbed them -12.5 while ago...this is gonna be one of those games like last night...
