Ok, one of my best friends asked me at work yesterday if I wanted to go to Windsor with him with some girls and stuff. He broke up with his girl so he`s trying to get his mind of her...so anywhoooo I say ok and we go. Get there around midnight and we stayed at the clubs for a few hours. Anyways, before we leave we stop by the Casino.

I Warn you all....DO NOT EVER GAMBLE AT THE CASINO IN WINDSOR!!!!!

Now I realized why I never win up there. All the tables were full of 19-20 year old kids. So I jump in at a table and start playing. Now first of, this is not my money....this is my friends and asked me to win him some money. Basically the goal was to be up 100 dollars so that takes care of all the beer and tolls and gas and food we had....a free trip another words. Well somehow someway I get up to 150...needed one more win then I would get up and leave....well, that didnt happen...I lost every hand after that. And it wasnt because of random cards or whatever...IT WAS BECAUSE THE FAWKING KIDS DONT KNOW HOW TO PLAY! 4 Hands in a row I had 18 or better....and the dealer had a bust card or a 2 or 3. And I lost all my good hands because these fawking morons dont know how to play. For instance...

I had 19...dealer had 4. There are 5 of us...the first 2 stay...then the next 2(whom I assume are boyfriend/girlfriend) had a soft 16 and a soft 15...THEY FAWKING DOUBLE DOWN, I wanted to shoot them and throw them in the Detroit River right then and there. So they both get face cards...and wouldnt ya know it...the dealer has 14...and draws a 6 to make 20 and lose my hand. But wait....theres moreeeeeee.

I had 18...dealer had 5. The first guy had two 7s and DID NOT split them. Buttttt the stupid girl next to me had two face cards AND SPLIT THOSE! I straight told her...."Your the stupidest fawking blackjack player I ever met...you too playboy(to her boyfriend)" Well I forget what they ended up getting...but I know they took her bust cards and the dealer ended up having 15 and drawing a 6....

After that...I got up and left and looked at the dealer and shook my head...she looked back and laughed. Mannn Windsor Casino has to love having these morons playing.

Moral of the story ~~> DO NOT PLAY BLACKJACK OR ANY GAME FOR THAT MATTER AT CASINO WINSDOR.

One more point before I go....You fawking Canadians are so lucky....PizzaPizza is the best pizza I have ever had in my life. I look forward to going to PizzaPizza more then anything when I go to Windsor....

Due respect and all, but that is the correct Basic Strategy play according to any chart you consult. So you were wrong. Always double soft 13-16 vs a dealer 4/5/6. Thats the correct play. So at least learn a little basic strategy if you want to jump in the grill of every bad play or what you PERCEIVE is a bad play.

Remember, your experience is a very very short term one when we are talking about probabilities and expectations. How many hands did you play, 100? Thats like a tiny blip, or a piece of a tiny blip, on the radar. I would bet you any amount of money that if you had stuck around, one of their bad plays would have helped the entire table.

It happens, I know it sucks, the right thing to do is pick up and move on. I know it has happened to me a million times, all I do if it bugs me enough is find another table.

What I DONT DO IS I DO NOT berate the entire table. If there is one thing in the fawking world I cant stand more than people who cant play blackjack like the ones at your table, its when people like you act like you did and belittle them in front of everyone else. Real classy, especially considering you yourself by your own posting are admitting you dont know basic strategy any better than they do.

I am not saying they were right the second time, or that they were great players. But they clearly agitated you and you should never gamble in that frame of mind. My advice? Next time, just move on. It will make you much happier, and will make them much happier in the end.

Always double soft 13-16 vs a dealer 4/5/6.

That's the way I play it, too. But I've moved on to Poker years ago.

The one thing worse than the person that berates an entire table is the person that berates the entire table and then stands on hard 15 against a face. Kharma is key.

Would have turned out the same even if they played it your way Hellah..... if they had soft 16 and soft 15 and hit and drew a face each that would leave them with hard 16 and hard 15 against a dealer 4... they wouldn't have hit on that anyways.... so either way it would have been the same...

Ace is correct. Always double down on those hands. Been a long time since I played BJ. Getting the itch reading your threads. Time to ride on over to Laughlin or Vegas.

Agree with the rest, that is definitely a double down hand. Ive played a lot of BJ with some terrible players but sometimes it helps you just as much as it hurts you.

It was Sunday morning, superbowl sunday in vegas....
I get to the table around 9am that morning...
Well I was at that table for 1 hand, and heres why, It was 3 of us and the dealer, first hand the idiot next to me gets is 2 4s, the dealer has a low card I forget what it was.GUESS what this guy does, HE SPLITS THE FOURS!!! LMAO, I couldnt beleive it. SO I ended up winning the hand somehow and left the table after one hand, the dealer and my friend nhl were laughing so hard, it was unreal

If you can double after a split, you ALWAYS split 4s against a 5 or 6 and your ROI is essentially even splitting against a 4.

Other moves that are correct that causes people to roll their eyes

-Never take even money on BlackJack
-Don't split Aces against a face or an ace
-Hit soft 18 against a 10

Which I guess was due to the fact that the rest of the table didn't know what in the hell they were doing, correct? If you're gonna blame them for your losing, then essentially it's only right to blame them for your winnings as well....

Bobby is exactly right, even though, IMHO it is harder than hell to hit a soft 18 which I don't always do.

Another situation I play by is never double down against a duece, it's a conservative play, but it has worked for me over the years. And there will always be some yahoo at the table that will pop off about it, but oh well.

Got the feelin, need to go to Vegas and play.

Me and the majority of my friends are over 21....Iam 22. I got a few friends that are 19 or 20 years old...which is why we pick Windsor to hit up....for there sake

We usually go to Peppers....and stay there till they kick us out...then MAYBE we go across the street to Dantes.

The easiest way I have found to get away from the inexperienced bj bettors is to just move to a $25 table. Down here in the dirty south, you have to be 21 to enter the casino flooor. That helps a little, but you still have to at least play $10 or higher to get away from the idiots.
