does anybody know if west va will sit anybody since the big east title is wrapped up already?

i would think it might make them rusty but it would avoid any injuries? i like the 9 pts, but not so sure if white sits.
a

ny thoughts?

I was thinking of taking WV but since they already have the title and since a win or loss doesn't matter to WV its really hard to take either team in that game.

that is what makes me leary. i have won money several times this year on west va, especially their espn games. i was wanting to put about $300 on them, especially after the usf/uconn game (i know it was cold up there). i think usf is one dimensional, no passing game. which i suppose west va is a LITTLE slanted towards the run.

i wanted to make a decision before the line starts to move.

wvu plays 2 deep every game so really does not matter and only reason slayton has got all the carries the last 5 games is because they have been bangged up and they go 4 deep and used all 4 at running back but 3 got hurt around game 4 hamstirngs and injuries that are hard to heal, same at qb they were playing 2 deep 50-50 till Adam. B got hurt first foot then groin and then shoulder which he was out all spring with and he is not as fast as white throws the ball great and was running for 7+ yards a carry. out of wvu 2 deep only lose 7 out of 44 guys they are a very young team and are and play 3 deep in some spots like db's linemen and line backers, super back which slayton is went 4 deep till injuries came about 2 of them will be at full strenght in backfield this week and 1 has speed of payton. williams also coleburn should be at almost full stength gwaltney is done for the year most likely. but they always rotate 2 deep in and out the whole game on both sides of the ball that has not changed all year except at qb and super back. They have a great passer in jr house who was injuried all spring and most of season ex pittsburgh top draft pick catcher, he is back to health for this week and has been throing ball in practice last 2.5 weeks with out pain and Ab shoulder is also almost healed he has thrown with out pain last couple 1.5 weeks was ready to split time again back in game 7 but foot acted up again. wvu will not roll over and play dead trust me on that and their whole system runs off of guys going 2 deep and playing so they are always fresh and strong, this team is in great shape, look at what they do to teams in the 2nd half they just wear them down because of they rotating of players and the shape they are in, and like i said they are all young will be around for 3 more years most of them or at least 2 years.

so would not play game against them on the fact you think they don't play people, hell they practice first against first and use all 44 in those partices and hit live so they will not play 3rd string against usf. now if you see something else fine but would not take usf thinking wvu sits 44 guys.

I think this game means a lot to WVU. They have a pretty decent coach, and losing is losing which makes a team lose confidence. NO WAY this coach lets his team lose their confidence after coming so far!!!!

Also, This is the big time rival of Pitt, what I mean is RECRUITING. If They lose this game that's ammo for Wanstadt to say we crushed USF and WVU lost. He can then say that if "we had players like you with speed" we could have easily beaten those guys......This definately means something for this coach, especially since they are a big time nationally ranked team FOR RECRUITING...

west virginia is a damn good football team but it takes stones to go against south florida down in tampa. they're a different team down there. felt like uconn was the way to go last week against usf, but think the bulls bounce back even though their bcs hopes are shot.

i think wvu wins they have more speed and power then usf but the line is jacked up would wait i think you might get higher if you like usf, I played it big on ml when it came out here at 7, usf will have to play a perfect game to be in this game , that has been their problem turn overs, but wvu wants to win game will not lay over but as i said line is a tad bit jacked up i had line at-6 and it cam out at 7 and it will IMO reach 10 and then you might have to look at usf, they can play when they hold on to the ball and they will get better each year this is a program who is only 7 years old in d1 and really not a full d1 sch till they got to 3rd year. they have done a very good job with program in a very short time, should be a good game but wvu expects to win all there games not like they have just become a fb team last 2 years wvu has always been a good fb team had a few off years here and there but go back from the start of fb there they have always won way more seasons then they lost and played for 2 ncaa titles were 11-0 in 86 and again in 92-93 where they lost to fl rich had a bad first year but his system is not easy to learn on either side of the ball and have won big east or share last 3 years and 4 of last 6, they have beat miami owned bc in the big east and back and forth with va.tech during their time in big east so they are use to this where some pressure was taken off usf last week when they lost, but still they will feel the pressure to win and wvu will not because they have been in many games like this and expect to win but i don't like the points usf will be a very good team in a few more years just look what they have done in a short time, and they have the money to spend. will be a good game with gun to my head and had to pick with line would go usf small to cover but not win. if they make mistakes though wvu will smack them just like pitt, wvu wants to win this game and win it big I know this for a fact so they will come to play for 40 mins. 2nd half will be the difference so usf better get it done in the first half, they were out of legs at end of uconn game. wvu will not lose legs they get stronger 2nd half, their mistakes when made come in first half if you go back and look at every game, also have only given up more then 2 td's in 2 games va.tech and louisville could be lower scoring then some think. hard game to play should be fun to watch.

just comment, jim leavitt, coach of s.f., is a maniac.

this is one coach that lays out a lot of disappointing games. games he should win he loses and vice versa.

what bothers me that s.f. is 6-0 ats since 1992 when scoring less than 14 points in previous games. however in 2004 they were 0-3 ats on the last 3 games.
I'm off this game but if had to play i'd go with W.va laying up to 10 points. this game maybe played similiar to the penn state game with no more than 40 points scored...score like 13-24 or 13-30. don't see w.va giving them many opportunities to score.

game looks too easy to call for a w. va win which makes me even more skeptical.

This is the only reason why I would think about USF against the spread, now that I have done some thinking. WVU's QB may not run like a chicken with his head cut off against USF because his coach doesn't want him to get crushed before the big bowl game, so he may tell him to stay in the pocket like Young did for some crazy reason against the long horns. If he stays in the pocket USF if they play a rediculously good game stays in the game because WVU's defense is TRULY NOT THAT GOOD. however, if WVU QB runs or plays a good game its a blow out.....Either way its a safe bet on the ML for this game that WVU wins....I would be afraid to take the points either way on this one.

If the QB is forced to run in a tight game he will undoubtadly.

So. Cal
There are a few lines in college football that I look at and go WTF. ND vs SC was one of em. Penn St vs MSU was one. Virgina Tech vs Virgina another.

This is one of those lines. A team with only 1 loss to argueably the 3rd best team in the country and undoubtably top 10 is only tax 9 points to beat a team that has lost 4 games this year. And to a team that WV JUST BEAT the pants off of.

Here is the facts. Only close games WV have had is against Syracuse (wtf?) and Louisville. Who South Florida did slaughter. I just don't see WV losing this won period. AND I dont see SF given half as much effort once they get hit in the mouth by WV underated D. And socrstud I like some of your other posts but just because Sportscenter doesnt do a report or they aren't in the SEC mean that WV doesnt have great defense - They do.

This one confuses me; i know Rutgers is not a top 25 team by any means but i was at the Rutgers/South Florida game and the Bulls completely dominated the game with running and air the entire game. Rutgers had a pretty solid defense going into the game which completed got exploited and they were playing at home; south florida just got up for this game. However they turn around and play at uconn and lose by a couple? Rutgers handled Uconn with relative ease when they played them in Conn. To me, South Florida remains inconsistent and West Virginia has been no joke this year. They have been friendly to favorite bettors and I'm not sure if this game will be any different. USF could be looks content with this season but West Virginia still looks determined.

i don't think a touchdown and a field goal to cover is asking too much from a team that has run it up recently.

Ill lay the points. USF finished for the year.
