All those smart Republican capitalists who, five years ago, were insisting that we should follow the Irish model, you know, the model were cutting corporate taxes to zero creates wealth and jobs?

Ireland now has 15% unemployment, debt = 120% of GNP and it's bonds are rated Ba1 (Junk).

Hello - Mitch McConnel and John Boehner, where are you? Hello? Mitch? John? Hello?

LMFAO! :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

You are being silly if you want to blame Ireland's corporate tax rates for all of their problems.

Being handcuffed into the EU is more of an issue than their tax rates.

You are being silly if you think Ireland's failure to balance their budget is not the primary cause of their financial problem. They collected less than they spent. Period, end of discussion.

They are in far worse condition than most of the EU because they followed a flawed fiscal policy.

And you will blame that solely on tax revenue and not on spending?

Corporations are moving to Ireland for the low tax rates, creating jobs in Ireland. Creating tax paying laborers.

The Problem with Ireland's tax code is the Double Irish. Not only a problem for Ireland but many countries because of the loophole it creates.

"Low taxes create jobs, high taxes kill jobs"

When are you going to give up on that bogus theory?

Ireland has low corporate taxes. Their unemployment is 15%.

Belgium, Finland and Germany have much higher tax rates.

Belgium - 7.3% unemployment
Finland - 7.8%
Germany - 5.8%

And those Bush tax cuts, where are the jobs?

Sorry to confuse you with facts.:0003

And how is the great European Socialist experiment working out for them all, Duff?

Not sure what the social policies of a handful of European countries has to do with a global recession ignited by the failed policies of our own government.

Speaking of taxes, remember when Walker gave all those businesses tax cuts promising jobs? Where the hell are they?

I heard in October Walkers state lost the most jobs out of all the states in the union. Imagine that. MOre tax breaks for the wealthy and less jobs created. I wonder how many times this will have to happen before it finally sinks in with some of the mental midgets here.

I made the mistake of trying to debate politics with one of these mental midgets the other day at work. This security guard was trying to tell me how trickle down economics worked and how the middle class has never had it so great. A few other people were around and they said I almost fell out of my chair when I heard that. I am just amazed at some of these fucking morons. This guy was probably making $10 an hour and he was saying the rich need more tax cuts. I started going off on him and he left within 30 seconds and never came back. You ask these morons a few questions that they aren't prepared for and they are out of there. Yet he will continue making his $10 an hour and helping out his masters and being fucking happy about it. All the while selling his fellow co-workers and kids down the river. And this country is full of these people. Just look around on this board. It's fucking amazing.
