Been a patron since late 1960's, seen quite a few talented gals.
The skill of strippers, pole dancers, (with few exceptions) has dwindled to near irrelevancy IMHO since the late 90's.

Lately, especially this last week in Vegas, girls would get on stage and pose and stretch and that was "dancing" zero eye contact with any patrons.

Most just going thru the motions, swaying and leaning against the pole, many looked bored to tears, drugged, or both.

Last nite at Spearmint Rhino, lots of knock-out honeys hustling, not performing unless it was a $30.00 private dance.
Alcohol, topless.

Little Darlings was all nude, no alcohol, $20-$30 touchie feelie dances not horrible, but next to ZERO show talent.

Deja-vue was a sh*t-pit, reject dancers, 2-bagger material.

What is needed, to bring back real pole showmanship, coy sexuality, fantasy costumes, is a serious school for erotic dancers.

Got to be a money making need for this vocation...or is this another casuality of the internet porn?

I was playing a slot at a casino, when all of a sudden, a fair amount of water came through the ceiling, landed on top of my machine and showered me.



Shortly afterwards, I had security, 2 maintenance men, and the casino manager at my side.

Turns out it was a faulty ice machine drain a floor above me.

After cleaning up in restroom, asked the manager for a steak dinner comp for 2 for the insult (the water smelled of mouldy insulation) ..

It was no huge deal, I was dressed in decent shirt and shorts.
Figured I would go home, shower and do load of clothes in washer.

Manager responds..."It is not in my power..."

I replied "You can not comp me a couple steak dinners?"


Nope....

I ask for Managers supervisor....off for Fathers Day.

I ask for contact information, says I will be right back....

Short time later he comes back with a comp voucher for $30.00 for the dinner buffet....he called someone and got an OK for $30.00 comp.


Gotta make you wonder where their heads are at.

I remember comps for shows, dinners, rooms, many times freely offered by the pit bosses.

Now you got 6-5 for blackjack, over-priced crap buffets, tighter than a ticks ass slots, over priced shows,
and still they come.

Gotta love it....

Since I am ranting....

the daily Palms Poker tournaments are nearly non-existant...went on a Friday for afternoon tourney, NO ONE showed up.

buffet...couple steps above average...yummy sea bass.

Best poker room....Orleans..name your poison, no limit, omaha, limit, tourney..place always hopping.

Also Hacienda Casino by Lake Mead...very good small buffet.

10 days went by way too fast, passed on WSOP senior event, maybe next year, they had over 5000 entrants at $1000. a pop.

Good thoughts, it was not difficult to find a good strip club 20 years ago.

Apparently outside the lap dancers at $30+ a dance, or the chumps that are sucked into the "Vip" rooms, there is little to zero motivation to put on a vigorous pole experience; a very sad commentary for us Senior fixed Income Voyeurs...
