What's Going on With Ghost Shop vs. Jackass??

This is a very highly touted movie (Ghost Ship) versus essentially Freddy Got Fingered 2. Also every "pick" site (Boxofficereport, Box Office Guru, Boxoffice Mojo etc.) are predicting Ghost Ship to blow away Jackass. Yet Ghost Ship is now +175 at Olympic with a $2.2 million spread.

????

I don't understand. I predict Ghost Ship will easily cover that spread and is a great bet. I was right with the Ring last week and I'm convinced I'll be right this week too.

Everyone has had the 25th circled on their caender for a few weeks for JACKASS. It will do alot better than you think, Imo. I go the other way on your bet

OK...took time out to watch the trailers and I must admit that "Jackass" is stupid.....my guess is everyone will walk out and go see "Ghost Ship" ........hopefully word will spread about how ridiculous this movie is and back the wager on "Ghost Ship". Without a doubt.... the money crowd (moms & dads) will elect "Ghost Ship". Good Luck!!!

Jackass will make a chit load of cash this weekend you can bank on that......

I know every college student has this penciled in on their schedule to see it on Friday, heck we have already advance bought our tickets...


The only thing better then people getting hurt doing sense less acts on TV........

Is People getting hurt doing senseless acts on the big screen where not much will be edited out........


I will predict right now, it will make between 15 and 18 million this weekend. But i dont monitor this stuff just an opinion

This was a wildly popular show in the teen and early twenty crowd. They pulled the show off TV to start the movie. The director felt that they had nowhere to go with the concept on TV, but with the big screen they could push it further. This will pull the young crowd in hook, line, and sinker.

As a comparison, I would look to see how South Park did in it's first weekend. Kind of the same marketing concept.

Holy Sh*t am I out to lunch with this one. Jackass on target for $30 million this weekend, Ghost Ship only $12 million.

All the prediction sights were way off also. For the life of me I don't see the appeal in Jackass.

Donna asked if I wanted to go with the twins to see it. Hell no, but they have both seen it twice!!! Appeals to the younger crowd. they said it was packed and funny as hell (according to them) Bet the mortgage there will be a Jackass 2!!!!

I am going to see it again on Sunday....... I don't even watch this show and there was not even a dull moment in the whole thing, I nearly crapped my pants laughing so hard and the rest of the audience was just like that too.... But seriously it was worth the money to see it I ha ve never laughed so hard. You gotta love when Butterbean and Johnny Knoxville (host and main guy, about 6 foot tall and 175) go into this Mexican shop and Butterbean beats the living fck out of him. I think there will be a sequal too
