I think a good comparison can be drawn between Ishii and Bruce Chen. Not sure on the pro scouts book, but seeing Ishii pitch last week, it looks like if hitters lay off the CB then they can tee off on the FB. Also, his control within the strike zone suffered last week. He got a lot of strikes called on pitches that were up in the zone, borderline strikes and if nothing else, lousy pitches. Not looking at the lineup and bullpen and any other factors in the game, I think that the edge goes to the Cubs as far as starting pitching goes. It will be intersting to see how Ishii throws today, but I would definitely think he won't be as effective as in his previous starts.
