whats the best anti virus program out?

been using trend mirco for several years now and like it, but wondering if there is something out there better.

I've had their free edition for several years and liked it. They recently sent me email on special for their top tier program for 3 computers for 2 years for $59 . While the their free version has been adaquate--thought Id go for it anyway--felt I owed them for years of free service--plus thought good idea for upgrade on wifes computer as she is on those shopping sites all the time.
