Was there ever a college football line that got near 70 points? I swear Florida had some lines close to that if my memory serves me right.
Klingler's Houston versus 1st year on the Death Penalty SMU was over 70. Houston covered

sportsaholic posted this...I had SMU when they were on the death pen. in football way back, line was over +70 against Houston back when they were throwing the ball every play. So being the savy bettor I was at the time I played them on a 3 team tease getiing over 80.......SMU drove the field got a field to go up 3-0 feeling good...........Houston proceeded to toss 90+ on them the rest of the way
I think this is the game, but it wasn't an 80 point loss...

Spread out: Sometimes college football betting odds are not posted because of key injuries. On rare occasions, they're not posted because the game is simply seen as too big a mismatch.
Such a mismatch exists this week, but Oklahoma vs. Baylor still made the betting board. The unanimous No. 1 Sooners are 53-point favorites at home.
In 1987, Oklahoma was a 57-point favorite against Kansas State, a game the Sooners won 59-10 in Manhattan.
The largest betting line in college football is believed to have come in October of 1989, when Houston was a 581/2-point favorite at home against SMU.
The Mustangs, coached by Green Bay Packers Hall of Famer Forrest Gregg, were coming off the NCAA death penalty and a two-year hiatus from the sport. They had 74 freshmen, 17 of whom were starters, on their 92-man roster. The remaining players were walk-ons.
The Cougars, coached by Jack Pardee, who was a longtime friend of Gregg's, led the nation in total offense thanks to the run-and-shoot offense and Heisman Trophy winner Andre Ware.
Houston covered the point spread easily, winning 95-21 and amassing 1,021 yards of offense. Ware was 25- of-41 passing for 517 yards and six touchdowns -- all in the first half.
