If you have to tease it (I'm no fan of that) definitely I would take DALL -1. Far better value.

Houston +15....usually NFL teams dont get blown out. I realize that Houston is an expansion team...but they got some veterans too. PLUS your getting 2 TDs!!! Thats a damn gift in the NFL...you take that to the bank!

Neither DET or CIN would have taken that to the bank today, and theyrenot expansion teams with rookie Qbs.

I would tease both sides. You have a nice gap there with a bunch of nice #'s like 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, & 11 there.

If you have to choose one side I'd choose Houston because I feel they do not only cover the +10 for the game but have a great shot in winning outright plus look at all the key #'s you get there at +15.

Dallas -1 sounds so easy but think how others felt who thought the same way about Tampa Bay.

I would go with Dal -1, true Houston has some veterans, but are they really working as a unit this early in the season? And their O line is suspect. I think Dallas wants to send a statement to their neighbors... well see ... just my thoughts as I have Dal @ a pick in the 1st quarter. Hoping they get off the block early & often to take the fans out of it and the gas out of them.

TB vs. NO is not quite the same as DAL vs.HOU.

This is the NFL, not as big talent gaps like in college. In this league on any given day any team can win.

True, but there is a lot more than talent involved here ... either way, anything can happen, so good luck fellas.

While I bet HOU plus the points, generally speaking it is far better to tease a 7.5-8.5 favorite down to 1.5-2.5. You pick up both the 7 and the 3, and historically these teams have performed very well. From Stanford Wong's 'Sharp Sports Betting':

(1990-2000)
Home Favorites -7.5 to -8.5 teased 6 points have covered 79.8%

Road Favorites -7.5 to -8.5 teased 6 points have covered 76.2%

Home Dogs +1.5 to +2.5 teased 6 points have covered 82.2%

Road Dogs +1.5 to +2.5 teased 6 points have covered 73.5%

You can almost do this blindly IF you are getting even money on teasers (requires 70.7% for even money, 72.4% for -110). I generally circle the teams in these categories, throw out any I don't like, and do a combo of 2 team 6 pt teasers for the rest.

Good luck,
