When a team scores a TD, is that considered a first down?

Had a prop bet on the Eagles to get the first first down in the game. Play by play shows that after the Skins scored their TD from the 7yd line (impossible to get a first down from the 7yd line), the Eagles answered and got the 1st first down.

Anyone knows the official rule on this? Is the Redskins' TD considered a first down? Olympic graded my wager as a loss. Is this correct? Please help.

goin out on a limb here but takin a stab and sayin that they counted the personal foul as a first down (the one that was tacked on to the opening kickoff). if so, thats a shitty was to lose.
