Being on TV every night??? I know its toward the end, if memory serves me right, but just wondering. Like being able to bet a game each night of the week.... I remember Louisville Thurs' when they would run the score up to 60-35 and crazy games like that...

This is in no way directed at you but this is an important issue with me because I do not like to see people get hurt by abusive gambling.

A lot of guys get into big trouble because of their lack of discipline. Many people bet on games that they know nothing about simply because its the only game on TV on any given night and that is just stupid. They would not think twice about most of those games if they were part of the regular saturday card, yet they just have to get that bet down on two teams that they have never seen and know nothing about. Those are the same people would place wagers on mouse races if that were the only action in town.

Don't get me wrong because I agree that its nice to have some weekday football and especially for me because there are a lot of MAC games played on weekdays late in the season. At the same time though, it's also very important to maintain proper discipline. Just because there is a game being played does not mean that there must be some action attatched. There is an exception however, I will concede that if a player watches a game closely, and I mean any game, there is potential for an edge by using what you have observed to your advantage in a 2nd half play.

To answer your question though, usually in week 5 or 6 they begin to toss some tuesday and wednesday games out there.

I hope some of what I said makes a little sense. Sorry for my rant. I am done.:mj23:

there are plenty of sports that play on a daily basis, baseball, basketball come to mind, I like it when there is Tuesday night and Wednesday night college football, I don't watch too many tv shows, so that is my entertainment. If you are an addicted gambler you will find action regardless, I say lets have college football games every night

Very well thought out words to heed for the younger future GA' club, though lets face it this is one hobby that most learn at the school of hard knocks. $50-$100 a game on weekdays can add up especially when tilt comes into play and you throw extra on the HT!

yep, most learn the hard way. I bet 25 bucks a game and limit my games on a weekly basis except when I am winning, then all bets are off. I am guilty of betting on weekday college games though, I guess I am a degenerate gambler and need help:rolleyes: for me gambling on sports is nothing more than a hobby.

nah, you seem to keep it under control. 25 bucks is less expensive that a cheap night out. It's the guys that drop a nickle or more on a game they know almost nothing about just in hopes of getting the week off to a good start. They are the ones in serious trouble.

I don't mean to come across as the Suzy Creamcheese of gambling. I'll bet a weekday game anytime as long as I have a good working knowledge of the teams involved. It does bother me though that sometimes people do abuse gambling and some to the point that they have lost their homes, families and employment. I've seen it up close when a friend went through it, and it was not pretty. He was a good guy but did not know where to draw the line and it ate him up. After losing everything and an attempted suicide, he is back living with his aging parents and trying to pick up the pieces.

If I could help just one person from going down the same path I would do almost anything I could to prevent it.

wow, thats not good, I think of gambling and fun and thats it, I get as big of a thrill winning 10 bucks or 1000, it tickles me to death I won 150 in the betjam contest this week. I haven't known anyone that has lost it all gambling, thats just stupid and those kind need help. I love gambling, but I learned at a young age its for fun, and thats the reason I bet small, I gamble very conservative, which is the way I like to live my life too...

best of luck spang and thanks for elaborating on your original post, take care
