I was all prepared to take the Twinks today as I've always thought that Buerhle never comes to play when the competition gets tough. I've written that here many times before, but today I actually looked back at his stats as a dog and was surprised to find that he was profitable as a dog last year and the only year that he wasn't was 2003.

Always a scary proposition taking the Sox in a nationally televised contest, but Buerhle was as sharp as I've seen him last time out and Santana looked ordinary. Add that to the fact that Santana started out poorly last season as well and the Sox look to be a pretty solid pup
