There is some concern with the White Sox hitting as of late. Per ESPN, The White Sox are third in the American League in runs scored (303 through June 2). However, those numbers are misleading given the lack of offensive production by Chicago of late, as reported by the Chicago Tribune. The Sox have scored 20 runs during their recent seven-game losing streak, and have not scored more than two runs in an inning since a five-run second against Detroit in May 25. "We've hit a bleeding spot that we've got to stop," first baseman Frank Thomas said on June 1. "In the past few days, it's getting out of control."

As I said yesterday, the White Sox are still hitting the ball, but their not hitting it with men in scoring position. In the Cleveland series, the White Sox recorded 8, 8, and 9 hits scoring 0,4, and 3 runs, repectively. They are in a funk right now, but the Royals are on deck with a converted reliever in Affeldt taking the hill against Garland fresh off two quality starts against the BoSox and the Yankees.

I'm counting on a big win with ChiSox today. All roads lead to a victory. Take it to the bank.
By the way I read, enjoy, and value your writeups everyday.
