Season Record 11-12 -0.60 units

Royals (Ascencio) +210 1 unit

My morning will be filled with World Cup action tomorrow, so I have to get this up early.

I was going to start waiting until later in the day to play dogs as the line always seems to get higher as the day goes on, but I can?t see how the White Sox will be higher than the ?230 that I have them at now. I didn?t see the game last night as WCIU in Chicago (who has the rights to about 20% of the Sox games) doubles as the security camera for the building that I?m in, but I did see that the Sox used 4 pitchers to get 4 outs in relief of Garland. They also used Howry, Foulke and Wuensch. Manuel needed this win, but his options will be limited in the bullpen if Buerhle gets in trouble. Ascensio no hit the Sox in an early appearance this season (well, he actually walked the first 4 batters he faced and was yanked). All kidding aside, the converted reliever has been a servicable starter in his two starts this season ( 1 run in 5 innings against Anaheim and 3 runs in 6 innings against Texas. 5 hits against in the 11 innings) and with the way the Sox have struggled lately with the bats, he might not be severely tested.

No way that pitcher that the Sox have should be ?230 with the run support that they?ve had in the last week.

Thanks, Dugan, for the kind words yesterday and especially for the :toast:

This is a rare time where I'm going to lay the run and a half. KC really struggles vs LHSP (20-41 dating back to 2001). I saw that appearance by Ascencio earlier in the year and he really had the yips. He's been a little better lately but let's see how he handles a road division game against a solid hitting team.

Looking at the weather reports and looking outside right now tells me this game is probably not gonna get off tonight. But if it does get delayed in the middle of the game, I don't think Manuel will risk Buerhle by going back out on the field after a long delay and your stuck needing a 2-run victory with an unknown commodity. Maybe I'm overeacting, but I just get scared of run lines.

Nice number crunching guys, Thanks! I think Buehrle will be asked to go deeper tonight because of the bullpen use. I agree, line toooo high with the bats struggling. Thats where I see the value in the under tonight.

Good luck on the BIG DOG Bobby Blue!
