Seemed like the Sox were in for certain disaster going into the break after being swept by the A?s and it seemed like the race would be on for the Central the rest of the year. Then they swept the Indians.
I really haven?t been able to find an edge with this team as of late and it?s going to be even more difficult now as the games may become less and less important. I heard three members of the Sox on various radio stations since the Sunday victory and they?re all saying the right things about taking it one game at a time, and that the Twins are the champs until someone takes it from them . . . blah, blah, blah, but you could tell that none of them believe it and they may be ready to coast.
Hernandez?s first game back is also a concern and Ozzie won?t waste any of the better arms in the bullpen to save this game early if things go awry.
