Its just an idea, looking for your thoughts.

The W/Sox this year have no leadoff man. What do we look for in a leadoff man, OBP. Why not B. Bonds ( i absolutly hate the man ) but, i'll take him put him in left and let him leadoff. This guy was On base almost 50% of the time last year, now i know he's not steling any bases but neither will the rest of the W/Sox lineup. So why not load up and MASH with the reast of the AL Central ?

Lineup

Bonds
Cabrera
Swisher
Thome
Konerko
AJ
Dye
Crede / Fields
Richar / Uribe

It's not that far out there for them to do this. In the mold of Bo or Canseco, they have made attempts at big bat "has beens". The problem is the $$ and future legal action against Bonds. Reinsdorf has never liked paying any non-every-day player big money. The WSox have been pretty much in the clear of the whole steroid thing, even with that corn fed mule Thome on the team.

Bonds would kill the ball at the Cell. Juice or no juice.

Bonds could play the OF 4 games a week, sit 1 and DH 1, spelling Thome and or Konerko for a day here and there.

As A W.Sox fan i just think w/o a leadoff man for this team, they will be trading away alot come close to the trade deadline this year.

I would use Swisher up there. Good OBP plus will hit better in Chicago's park then in Oakland. No speed but at least not as slow as Konerko and Thome. Probably will end up being Cabrera.
