CHICAGO WHITE SOX -140 ? Buehrle is quickly and quietly becoming one of the best left-handers in the AL. He now has a 3.53 ERA and a very good WHIP of 1.22, and 6 of his 7 starts have been very good ones. In fact, if we factor out his only poor start in Oakland, he would be 5-1 with a great ERA of 1.99 and a sensational WHIP of 1.03! He got his revenge on the A?s in his last start, limiting them to 1 run and 6 hits in 6.2 innings. Davis was brilliant in his first 2 starts this year, but has tailed off considerably in his last 4 starts, recording a 5.76 ERA with a poor 1.52 WHIP in those outings. Perhaps throwing 119 pitches in his 2nd start of the season took its toll on Davis. Also, he was bombed by the White Sox the last time he faced them, allowing 5 earned runs and 8 hits in 6 innings.
