and why?

I am starting this thread in the meaning of being totally bipartisan...

I am leaning towards Obama but haven't made my decision yet.

I want to know what sticks out in your mind for either candidate... and why.

and what distinguishes a republican from a democrat?

I am curious to hear everybody's viewpoints:toast:

I'll go first. McCain has voted for Bush 90 percent of the time but Weasel, DTB, Freeze, Skuldik, Keekoo, Intense blowhard, Double two, Bochida or whatever that clowns name is, and the list goes on and on have been wrong 100 percent of the time. If McCain was running against one of those delusional fools i would have to side with McCain. Those guys have been so wrong and so out of touch that you would have to be a complete fool to vote with them. They still think we went to Iraq to fight for the Iraq's freedom.
Well, that isn't my only reason but it is solid.

I will play the game.

I am not voting for one simple reason: I live in Texas and my vote doesn't count either way.

There is ZERO chance this state votes any way other than republican. Since the popular vote means about as much as being ranked number 22 in college football then why bother.

I live in Alabama and I feel the same way... people here are so out of touch its unbelievable.

they hear democrat and they are ready to fight. I don't understand it because most of them are only make 40k a year TOPS.

They bring up the war in iraq and that we are fighting for our freedom. It's a bunch of BS. I believe we can thank our economy on the war. Our budget has gone to shit and it will only get worse.

Frankly, I feel sorry for the candidate that gets elected president.

You can't stop the titanic on a dime :mj06:

I'm voting for McCain because he's the only candidate that's an American Citizen, when will the Justice department expose the Obama Indonesian citizenship?

Obama, because the war(s) need to come to an end. The free choice act, the middle class built this country and republicans want the MC gone. Health care, McCain gets universal free health care, why can't we? McCain wants war with Iran and or a endless war in Iraq. Stemcell research, Bush, Cheney and McCain are against it but let them get sick and they'll be the first to run somewhere where they have it to get cured. Bankruptcy and creditcard reform.

Obama because he is not McCain. McCain STILL thinks Iraq was a good idea. That tells me all I need to know about his judgement.

Obama. I like his leadership abilities and inspirational qualities. I will admit that I'm not very familiar with presidential qualities because of the last 8 years. But best I can tell, Obama would be a strong and competent leader.

This "change" word that gets so easily dismissed actually might have some weight too. My sister who generally votes very conservative said that it might actually be good for the country to have Obama simply because he can inspire people. ...MacCain does not have that ability I'm afraid.

I guess it's kind of like changing the deck when your cards are running bad. Yeah, it's still the same odds, but sometimes you still need "change".

The Sponge probably voted for Gore and Kerry, he's use to being on the losing side. JMO.

i didn't vote for Gore and im not sure about Kerry either so i was on the wrong side because my guy had no chance(Nadar). Now if i had Gore or Kerry i wouldn't say i was on the wrong side i would say i had the win stolen from me.

One thing that you have been and that is consistent and staying the course and how often you have been wrong. 100 percent i think it is. How can i vote for McCain if im voting with a guy who is 100 percent wrong? Im not gonna go with you hoping you are due.

I would be happy if i got one thing and one thing only and Obama can take back all his promises. Get those kids out of Iraq. Its that simple. We should have never went there. We don't belong there. Close to 5000 soldiers got killed for greed and many more injured. A lot of these soldiers are gonna be scarred for life and a lot of them, from seeing what they have saw, are gonna be a problem back here at home. That is what these neo-con pigs have created with their greedy agenda. I just have a hunch that Obama has the balls to go after some of this greed that ruins this country. Could be wrong but i will take my chances because i know McCain won't go after the greed. McCain of 00 maybe and i might have even thought about voting for him back then. This new and unimproved McCain? Forget it. McCain got trashed in 00 by the Bush administration in the 00 primaries. They did things to him that were so despicable nobody deserved. What does McCain do? Hire these same creeps to help him win. That is why you see his campaign day after day going negative. Imagine having someone say your kid is illegitimate and then hiring the same people who said that. That my friends, in my book is a complete disgrace.

paid more taxes then, :SIB

Gladly. If it came to it. So this is all about the fact that you don't want to pay more taxes that you aren't sure you'll have to pay anyway?

Come on man, you brag about tough you are but you are whining about everything. I doubt your taxes will go up anyway, but even if they did....SO WHAT? Your life will be fine.

You just don't want to see a mulatto in the White House. Get over it.
