Tough day. tough year so far so take this with a shaker of salt.
But as Senor Capper pointed out in his post, SD has not beaten a quality team in any quality way. Rivers is hot and cold and much more cold than anything else and Norv is a trainwreck of a coach. Maybe I lose most of my bankroll tonight but I've played NO ml as well as many smaller bets all on NO in some way. Yes, NO D has sucked but I gotta believe they make some adjustments tonight and it's not like they're playing Brady or Manning. On top of that, you've got the Unitas record factor tonight and Brees knows that he occasionally forces things. I think the Saints O goes to shorter passes instead of always looking for homerun. That keeps Brees upright and in rhythm instead of being so predicatable/vulnerable to pressure.

Saints secondary is the worst in football especially the 2 safeties. Rivers will have a good nite.

well ageecee, i certainly respect your opinion -- have followed many of your picks. no doubt, the saints D is terrible esp the secondary. i see that you have some tezers tied to SD. hope we both win.

I'll put it this way. If the saints can't win tonight, at home truly in must-win situation, I guess they might very well go oh-fer? I think most knowledgeable cappers knew they wouldn't go 10-6 (wasn't that the preseason props total?), but I also don't think they go 0-16 and I believe it starts tonight. I think they play loose, fast, and tough. To borrow a phrase, laissez les bon temps roulez! (hope that's spelled correctly!_:0074

0-4 teams are 32-11 all time ATS. 15-10 vs teams with winning record. hope trend continues
