This is all I know so far. i'm sure you already know this sht.
LHP Mike Maroth was acquired from Detroit for a player to be named and will make his first National League start on Monday in New York against the Mets.
In Detroit, Maroth was 5-2 in 13 starts with an ERA just above 5.00. The Tigers were 9-4 when he took the mound, making Maroth one of the most profitable pitchers in the AL racking up 6.42 units this season (If you wagered $100 per start, you would be up $642).
The 31-year-old has control issues. Maroth has a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 28-33 and has allowed 15 home runs, third most in the AL this year during this time with the Detroit.
Detroit will receive a player to be named later. The Tigers will scout a number of players in the Cardinals' farm system from a list the teams have agreed upon. They'll then have their choice of player later in the year.
That player will come from a list the Tigers and Cardinals agreed upon to finalize Friday's deal. The Tigers will scout the players and make their choice no later than Sept. 15.
